             Songs POV

"Well, I have to get to homeroom. Wanna make a good first impression, and all. I'll see you guys later?" Ella asks us, probably getting tense from me crying about a boy she hasn't even met yet.

I wipe the tears from my eyes, biting my lip. I push off of the floor, and wave to her. "I've got to go too. I mean, well duh," I do an awkward laugh, "It is homeroom, and I can't afford another detention. I've got like two already lined."

I turn away from the group, and start heading towards 209. Mr. Stone was my homeroom teacher, and from what I can tell he was a pretty and strict old dude. I did not want to get on this guys bad side, from what I've heard from my brothers. I pass a group of boys trying to get my attention, but I just ignored them. Everyone always tried to get my attention, since I was the only-well I guess only of two girls that lived in Quartersville. When I told my brothers about this, they got even more protective, which is why I wasn't really allowed to talk to anyone.

I stop at 209, and walk into the loud classroom. I see two boys pass a paper airplane back and forth, some boys talking about the latest gossip, a lanky boy-named Elliot I think-studying away, and a boy sleeping already in class. A lot of desks were empty so I sat next to Elliot and in front of Mr. Snooze Button.

Which was a mistake I might add.

         A very big mistake.

As soon as the teacher walked Elliot perked up, sitting up straight. I roll my eyes, Elliot was a classic suck up. I take my pen out of my pocket. I'm not exactly the most prepared student, so I don't carry a lot of books, or anything really. I mean of course I want to get into a good college, but I don't need my books for most of my classes anyways.

I start tapping on my desk with the pen, causing the teacher to glare at me from the front of the room. "Ms. River, my class isn't the music room." I scowl at him, and stop tapping my pen. It wasn't like he taught us anything anyways. It was homeroom!

"And what is your class Mr. Stone? Last I knew, you don't teach anything this period." I shoot back. I am a kind person, but growing up with a lot of brothers-growing up with siblings in general, you learn how to defend yourself.

"And last I knew you were a student, not the adult. I hold the power over you, and if you don't wait yapping, you'll get yet another detention. Although I'm sure you already have enough of those, perhaps you would like to be suspended for repeat disrespect." He retorts.

I only give him a approving look for his snarky remark. I knew it nagged at him that he wasn't intimidating me.

"I actually have an announcement. As you all know, a classmate of many of you has been in a car accident, Leo Michigan. In honor of him, the teachers have all decided that we should all make cards for him." I paled-in honor of him? How bad is the situation?

"Since Song had chosen to speak up, why don't you pass out the supplies?" He says.

"Will do Mr. Stick Up Your Butt." I walk up to the front, taking the white stationary.

I walk around passing the paper out to the six boys, and placing a piece on my desk. I walk back up the front and take the colored pencils, placing a handful on each persons desk. I resume my position at my desk.I fold my paper in half, and pick a blue colored pencil. Blue was Leo's favorite color. I write on the front in bubble letters, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY", knowing he would get the humor. I open up to the inside and write, "I Love You, Ya Big Dumbo. Don't Go Getting In A Car Accident Again." I sign my name at the bottom, and a big heart next to it.

I stand up, and bring the card up to Mr. Stone's desk, "Ms. River, I advise you to stop with the attitude. You have enough detentions already, and we all want to see you get into a good college. This place could use a good therapist."

     "I know Mr. Stone, but maybe you need to change too. A little tapping on a desk isn't going to hurt anybody." I place my card on the desk, and walk back to my seat. I take out my phone and text Leo;

Song

Hey, heard you were in the hospital. You good? Worried bout u.

I tuck my phone into my bra and sit back in my chair as best as I can. "Hey, Song? You can't just go around treating teachers like that." Elliot says from next to me.

"Hey, Elliot?" I ask, using his words.

"Yes?" He says pleased to not have been ignored as most do to him.

"Did I ask for your opinion?" I feel a buzz from my phone and take it out.

Leo

Got in2 bad accident. Pls come. I need my best friend.

Song

At school. I can come after. Do u want me to get ya anything?

Song

From the store, or your house or somewhere?

Leo

I feel like crap, dr said I had broken my leg, fractured my left wrist, and dislocated the left shoulder. Can u bring cheetos and my laptop?

Song

Will do. See you soon. <3

The bell rings, and I jump. I put my phone back, and snatch up my pen. I run out the door, eager to get to my next class which was with my other two-thirds.

Authors Note

Eyyyyy! It's me, and the long waited chapter. Again, tell me my mistakes, I am trying to fix them up. Tell me what you think. What do you think of this Leo dude from your limited knowledge of him? What did you like?

Thank you for the support, and those who continuously read this when I post, even though it is very drawn out. Thank you to the new readers as well.

Fun fact: I accidentally kept writing Elliot's name instead of Leo's in the texting. Thank goodness I caught that, but you guys are smart cookies, I'm sure you would've known who Song was texting.
