Scotty's POV:

"Welcome to 95.3 Scotty!" Jimmy the radio DJ smiled cueing me to talk on air. "Thank you for having me." I replied shifting on the stool to a more comfortable position.

"Well you are having quite a year. Your album 'See You Tonight' is selling like crazy. Your single See You Tonight just made it to the top ten, and your 'See You Tonight' tour is selling out venue after venue. Not only that, but your newest single 'Feelin It', is out and boy is it hot!" Jimmy rattled off and I turned to Joey and Parker who were smiling and nodding.

"Man I tell ya, it's crazy. It seems like just yesterday I was auditioning for Idol, and now I have people 'auditioning' to be my opening act." I replied chuckling as he nodded. "Yes you are hot man! What songs are you going to play today?" Jimmy asked motioning for my friends to start getting ready.

"Well we are going to start with a song off my newest album. This one is called 'I Don't Wanna Be Your Friend.'" I explained as he smiled and we began playing. Parker played the guitar perfectly and I sang the words with more passion than I ever have before. This is my song right here. If only Parker felt the same way. I truly want to be more than just her friend. I would never hurt her. We finished the song and played two more, 'Feelin it' and then ended with 'See You Tonight'.

"Alright Scotty before you go, we want to ask you a few things." Jimmy stated as Parker and Joey began packing up our things. "Alright." I smiled and waited for what was coming."First of all, Are you single? This is from all the lady listeners." I felt my cheeks get a little heated as I chuckled.

"Yes, I am single." I replied smiling. "Okay. And secondly, we were at your show last night, and we wanted to ask your guitar player something." He smiled as I frowned.

"Okay, hold on a sec." I turned to see Parker heading for the door. "Hey Park!" I shouted stopping her and then motioned for her to come over. "What's up?" She asked stopping next to me.

"We would like to talk to you for a few minutes." Jimmy explained. Parker nodded and took a seat in the chair next to me. I watched Jimmy unsure of what he was going to ask. "Okay. So you're name is Parker Bright, right?" He asked as she nodded and then realized that no one on the radio could see her.

"Sorry. Yes, I am." She smiled. "How does it feel to be the Queen of Dry County?" He asked laughing. Parker loosened up a bit and leaned closer to the mic. "Well, it's an honor. The guys are great, even though they can be a handful at times." She shot back as gave her a look. She gave me one back and Jimmy chuckled.

"Well what's going on here?" He asked as both our heads snapped towards him. "What do you mean?" Parker and I asked in unison.

"Well it seems to me that you two have something going for ya." He smiled pointing to both of us. "Oh..." Parker started and I joined in. "She's just my best friend." I admitted as my heart hurt after saying it.

I turned to look at her and saw something in her eyes that I haven't seen in a long time. I remember seeing it when she found out that her boyfriend was done and wanted to see someone else. The look that she had when her dog died. Hurt. I wanted to wrap her in my arms and tell her I didn't mean it, and that's when I realized. She must like me too
