Ssurel: Daughter of None

Part 1

Ssurel smiled as she walked off stage. She just finished her latest concert, this time she felt like she totally nailed it. Saiyans rushed to her and helped her get undressed and wipe her brow. When you had as large as a vocal range as Ssurel, singing worked up a sweat. After the show she went outside, she was first greeted by her baby sister Gine. "Oh my Yamoshi! Ssurel tonight was beautiful!"

"Thank you G, I dedicated tonight to you!"

"Aww you shouldn't have!"

"I wanted to," she smiled, "You are the love of my life!" They embraced each other in a hug. They heard a man clear his throat, Gine smiled.

"Oh Surie, this is my friend Bardock!" She moved, Bardock waved. He shook Ssurel's hand. Ssurel blushed, Bardock was really handsome.

"I have to say, I'm not one for the theater but that was pretty spectacular." He said,

"Thank you." She said with a goofy grin. Gine looked at her sister and smiled, she knew Ssurel liked Bardock from the start.

"Welp, I think I'll give you two some time alone." Gine said casually walking off with her hands behind her back.

"No! Don't go!" Ssurel called after her, "You traitor!" Gine smirked and held up her middle finger. "I LOVE YOU TOO YOU ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!!!!!!!" Bardock laughed.

"You two close?"

"Like twins attached at the hip." She said turning around.

"I could never be attached at the hip to someone, I might eat the other." Ssurel snorted and started to laugh, she tried to stop but her laughter only made her snort more. Bardock smiled and started to laugh too, he found her snorts absolutely adorable. Eventually Ssurel calmed down, "Would you like to get something to eat?" He asked,

"Oh, I'd love too but I really need to get home and rest my voice."

"Come on, it's not like I'm gonna feed you nails." He smiled a charming smile,

"Well I...." she looked at him, he really was quite the charmer. She shook her head then smiled, "Fine. Let's go, but I'm paying."

"No, it's on me. I've always wanted to go on a date with a beautiful woman." He winked at her, Ssurel blushed so hard she felt as if her face disappeared. He chuckled, "Lets go."

"Y-yeah..." She said following him trying to process everything that just happened.

The two sat at a table together and laughed. They had gotten to know each other over a matter of hours, with several glasses of wine and several helpings of meat. "Ok, so let me get this straight. When Gine was four she thought that babies were just a woman's breasts and when they were ready to be born they fell off?" Bardock said with a smile, Ssurel laughed and nodded.

"Yep!" She smiled, "What about you B? Got any siblings?"

"Nah," he said, "I come from a family of slaves and we were only aloud to have one child per generation."

"What..." she froze. He lightened up and smiled.

"I'm kidding."

"Good, that wasn't really funny."

"Oh come on, with my immeasurable charm I'm sure you found it a little funny."

"Well Bardock, you're very charming and I'll give you that." she smiled and leaned on her hand.

"So what got you into singing?"

She shrugged. "I dunno, I was never really one for the performing arts. I wasn't a tom boy but I wasn't really a girly girl either. I was just...meh. I wanted to do something different. What about you?"
