[Dawn POV]

Such an idiot. I rolled my eyes as I watched Joseph leave the restaurant. It had already been a day or two since Brea left and I swear the atmosphere was different here.

Also, Joseph had been here for both days since Brea left. What, was he scared of her or something? Well I did tell him she thought he was ugly. She had choked on her drink when I told her that I said that to him. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get a point across though.

Nisey also seemed to be quieter since Brea had left. He would be very friendly to the customers, as usual, but when we were cleaning up at the end of the night he was silent. In the past, he always talked about random things and about God. He had a very strong faith. Now he just cleaned in silence, his face always straight. He never cracked a smile.

I hung up my apron and grabbed my phone. A message from Parker?

Parker and I had been talking since Brea gave him my number and I'm not sure what I thought of him. He seemed cool, but he was also coming on really strong and we'd only been talking for a week, if that.

Brea warned me of that. He fell for girls really fast she said. She had told me stories. I shrugged. I fell pretty quick too.

"Bye Nisey! I'll see you next week."

Nisey waved, still cleaning the floor in his section.

I walked down the road and headed to my apartment. I lived down the street from the restaurant, so I didn't drive. It was a waste of gas money, and this way I wouldn't have to work out, cause this was my work out. Kind of. I'm not sure I could really count this as a workout, but it would have to do.

I opened my apartment door and was expecting my dog to run up and lick my hand like he always did- then I remembered that he'd run away a month ago. I still wasn't used to it. Honestly, I think he might've gotten hit by a car or stolen, because he definitely would've come back. Shaking my head, I set down my stuff and headed to the kitchen. I had premade rice in the fridge. I heated up some chicken up and grabbed my rice. Chicken and rice had been my go to meal since graduating from college. I just didn't feel like cooking anything else and it wasn't unhealthy. I think rice made me thick though, but guys liked thick, so I would keep eating my rice and whoever wanted me could deal with my thick thighs. Brea always told me I had a nice body, an "hourglass" shape. Thankfully I had that, because I have absolutely no boobs, and I need something to distract people from that.

There was a knock on my door. Three sharp knocks followed by a yell "I'm coming in, you better be fully dressed cause Trojan is with me!"

"You're good!" I laughed, looking up from my food. I was standing at the counter.

Riane sat on the floor and Trojan slumped over top of her, crushing her.

"Get off! Get off!" You could hear her muffled yells.

"Okay, okay, chill." He rolled over and laid on the floor next to her. "Dawn your floor is comfy."

They were so weird. I laughed. "Okay, there's a couch you know? Right behind you?"

"I like sitting on the floor, you know? It just, feels better." Riane nodded to Trojan, who nodded back. They were cute. I wanted that.

"So how are you and that guy?" Riane interrupted my thoughts.

"Oh! Uh we're just talking. Nothing's happening yet... besides tonight. He's pretty funny."

"Funny huh?" Riane and Trojan looked at each other with big grins on their faces.
