I opened my eyes and then immediately shut them again, as sunlight beamed and into my room through my curtains. Suddenly, all the memories of last night came flooding back to me at once. What did Nat mean when he said he couldn't tell me how he feels about me? How does he feel about me? My head hurt as I swung my legs around the side of my bed and slowly trudged downstairs to get some breakfast, checking the clock on my way: 10:30. Upon entering the kitchen, my mum squeaked and said" dearie me Liv, have you been out all night!"

I looked down at my clothes and realised that I was wearing the same things I had on last night. "No , no of course not mum, I was really tired last night when I got in so Nat put me to bed, that's all."

"Oh right, that's alright then!"

Pulling the cupboard open, my gaze was met by some really delicious looking pop tarts, which I grabbed and put straight into the toaster. While they were in, I ran upstairs to get changed. My phone started buzzing, so I checked it and it came up with a missed call. I rang the number and Nat picked up the phone:

Hey chuck! Just wanted to make sure you woke up okay after last night! You were flat out when I left you.

Yes thanks Nat I'm fine, but I do want to ask you something, can you meet me at the park in five minutes?

Sure thing, see you there!

The sound of the phone being hung up was my cue to sprint back down the stairs, grab a jacket and my pop tarts and run out of the house to the park.

The park wasn't far from my house so I was there and on our favorite bench within four minutes. I sat, impatiently tapping my feet against the floor, until I felt a breath on my shoulder...

I spun round to see Nat's face inches away from mine and grinning madly.

"Boo."

I pretended to scream as he ran around the side of the bench to join me, laughing loudly; I could listen to him laughing all day.

"So, what did you want to talk to me about Liv?" He questioned.

"Well," I started,"you know how on the phone a few minutes ago, you said I was flat out when you left me, well... I kind if wasn't and I kind of heard everything you said." His eyes widened with worry and shock as he remembered the moment. "I don't know what to say."

"Its okay, I just wondered what you meant about not being able to tell me how you feel about me."

"I..." he began, "I mean that for the last seven years I've been your best friend, but I like you as more than a friend, Liv. You're such a smart, funny and beautiful girl, I guess I just couldn't help falling for you." His gaze dropped to the floor and I felt my cheeks rushing with color. "Nat?"

I said.

"Yes?" He replied, his eyes meeting mine.

"I like you too." I whispered, leaning in closer to his face. He didn't say a word, but slowly brushed a strand of hair out of my eyes, and gently pressed his warm lips , tenderly against mine. My mind was rushing and my heart hammering in my ribcage. I locked my arms around his neck and pulled both of us deeper into the kiss, it becoming more and more passionate by the minute. Pulling away, he stared into my eyes, as if he was looking for something, but I know he has already found it. Lifting his hand up to caress my face he asked, "was that a good enough answer sweetheart?"

"Yes," I replied softly, "just about."
