Chapter 16

2 years later

"Push Emma!" I hear the doctor say to me as I feel a contraction. I look towards Killian and he's holding my hand as I'm pushing. "You're doing great love." I scream out in pain and that's when I hear a cry. Killian smiles and kisses my forehead. "Our first little one is here love." I smile.

That's when I feel another contraction. "Emma here comes the other," I hear the doctor say and I nod. I push as hard as I can and then I hear a cry. I fall backwards and I start to cry. "Check on them Killian." He nods as he walks up to the girls.

We got married 2 months after Killian asked to marry me. We didn't want a big wedding so we had a small intimate wedding, and let me say it was better than the wedding between Neal and I. Not long after the wedding, we tried to have kids but we couldn't. Well I couldn't. Like I had mentioned before the miscarriages I had affected my body and we were told by doctors that I would never be able to carry my child.

They told us we could get a surrogate but I wanted to carry my baby. This took a big toll on our marriage to the point in where I told Killian he could leave me because I couldn't give him a child. He was heartbroken because I would be willing to leave him because I couldn't grant him that gift but he said he would never leave me. We tried and tried, and 9 months ago I found out I was carrying twin girls.

It was one of the best days of my life aside from my wedding day. That was until we found out that one of our girls was not forming correctly. I felt like a terrible mother, I blamed myself for this in which of course Killian helped me see that it's life and that together we will get through this. The pregnancy continued normally and we made peace with the fact that we will have a deformed child.

To us it didn't matter because we will love our little girl no matter what. That is why I asked Killian to check on the girls. "Leía is perfect my love," Killian says and I smile. I sigh as I grasped the blanket. "What about Hope?" I look at Killian and he turns to the doctor checking on her. "Both girls are healthy, no malformation whatsoever." I cried tears of joy.

Killian ran to my side and gave me a huge kiss. "See we got a new chance to have a happy life with our girls." I nodded as I caressed his cheek. "I love you." He smiles. "And I love you." The nurse walks over to us and hands Leía to Killian and then goes and grabs Hope and hands her to me. I looked at Hope and she had blonde hair like me. I checked her little face to see if the deformity was there but just as the doctor said there wasn't any.

I kissed her forehead and she cooed. Tears were rolling down my cheek. I had so much love for my little girl. She opened her eyes and she had green eyes. She is going to look like me. That's when I look over at Killian and seeing him smiling at Leía made my heart soar. He looked so damn attractive, I mean he already is but seeing him with our baby made him all that more attractive.

He looks at me and smiles. "What?" I smile. "We are a family." He nods. "Yes we are love." I smile. That's when Killian gasps. I gave him a concerned look and he smiles. "Leía has blue eyes." I laughed. "Oh boy Leía will look like you and Hope like me." He smiles. "Both will have my personality watch." I laugh. "No matter which one they have I will love both of them with all of my heart." Killian smiles and walks up to me and gives me a kiss.

"My Babies!" We hear someone say and we let go. I look at the door and it's my grandma. "How you doing baby?" I smile as she walks up to me and hugs me. "No gifts, for the babies?" She chuckles. "Honey I'm giving them my love, that's more than enough." I laugh.

"Oh God grandma, you never change." She smiles. "Your momma will be coming in a bit, she's actually buying gifts." I nod. "Can I hold one of them?" I nod. "Ok Killian, I'm stealing her from you." Killian nods and hands Leía to her. She goes and sits down with Leía. "So what are their names?" "I'm holding Hope and you're holding Leía." She nods. "Nice names." She looks down and Leía groans a bit and she laughs.

"Oh baby I would complain too if I looked like your daddy." "Hey!" Killian says and I laugh. "Stop giving Killian a hard time." She laughs. "Not gonna happen." Killian shakes his head and laughs. "Well at least Emma thinks I'm handsome." She laughs. "Cuz my poor grand baby is blind." "Grandma!" I scream and she laughs.

"I'm kidding y'all too damn sensitive, y'all are a good looking couple, I mean, your babies look like little cute angels." I smile. "Y'all are blessed because some babies look like potatoes." I shake my head and Killian does as well. She smiles down at Leía. "Don't worry my little one, you will soon be able to walk and hang out with your great grandma." I smile.

That's when I see Hope moving her little mouth around my chest which means that's she's hungry. As soon as I latched on she started to drink. I hear the gulps and smiled. They were so loud that my grandma walked over to me and laughed. "Oh we got a little fatty over here, ok I see how this will turn out." I chuckle. "Grandma stop it." She laughs then sits down.

"Ok I'll stop but in all seriousness, I am so happy for the both of you. You two finally have the family you both deserved and I wish you two the best alongside these two little angels." I was in shock from what my grandma had said. "Grandma I didn't know you were that sentimental." She fixes her face and laughs. "I'm not baby, it's just babies make me damn emotional and I have a soft spot for you and Killian, so..." I smile.

"Thanks grandma." She smiles then hands Leía back to Killian. "I'm a go see where your mother is at, she's probably still debating on which damn pink teddy bear to bring the girls, like if they aren't all the same." I laugh as she grabs her purse. "I'll be back." I nod as she walks out. I look at Killian and he smiles. "You think we are going to have a good life?" He nods. "Yes because we were given a new chance at happiness and this is our happiness." I smile and nod.
