Chapter 15

I see Emma closing her eyes and I smile. I was so mad at her but after everything that happened how can I stay mad at her? The only thing I want to do now is get her out of this hospital and make sure she can walk again and then marry her.

This is what she deserves, to be happy and in love. I went and called her mom and grandma and boy were they happy to hear the good news. And I thought this time would be a good time to talk to them about marrying Emma, even though she asked me.

An hour passed and I managed to wake Emma up because they were almost here. "Wake up love," I whispered and caressed her cheek. Emma half smiled as she opened her eyes. "Hey there," Emma slurred. I smiled. "Your mom and grandma...."

"Baby!" I hear two voices scream and I laugh. "Well I was going to say they were coming but they're here." Emma smiles and nods. I made my way to the side as they both hugged Emma and showered her in love. The only person that didn't want anything to do with her was her sister, but that's a whole different story.

I leaned against the wall and my heart soared seeing how happy Emma was. I walked outside and stood by the door. "Happy she's awake?" I hear Emma's grandma say. I nodded. "Yeah." She smiles. "You want to ask me something?" I started to get nervous. "Why?" She laughs.

"Honey, I've been alive a long time, I know how this works and yes you can marry her, although I don't know why you need my permission or her mothers because you both are grown adults." I laugh. "So that's a yes?" She nods. "I'm sure she can't wait to marry you." I smile.

"From everything that I've seen, I know that you will take care of my baby." I smile. "I love her so much." She smiles. "And I'm sure she loves you too." I nod. "Now I know that she does." She smiles. "Well there's no need to ask her momma because I'm more than enough." I chuckle.

"It's true, I'm not saying she loves her less but I'm her grandma, what I say outweighs her mothers." I laugh, oh boy is Emma's grandma a handful. I nod. "I wish you and my granddaughter the best Killian." I nod and smile. "Thank you." She comes and hugs me. She walks back into the room and continues to talk with Emma.

I am so happy right now that I can't contain it. I am so ready to start this new chapter of my life alongside Emma.

Many weeks later

Emma's POV
"It's been 3 months and it looks like you can finally leave rehab." I smile super big. "Your bones are healed but still be careful." I smile again and nod. "Thank you doctor." I look at Killian and he nods. We get up and walked over to the car.

I am so happy because finally I can be free of the crutches, free of the rehab sessions, and everything that came from that horrible day. And I can now focus on Killian. I thought we were going back to my grandmas house but we were going a different way. "Killian where are we going?" He smiles. "Its a surprise." I gave him a weird look.

"Just trust me love." I smile. "You know I do." He smiles. "We just need to celebrate that you're all healed up." I smile. "God I love you." He smiles. "As do I."

About 30 minutes passed and we arrived to the pier. "The pier?" He nods. "What still too ghetto for you?" I scoff. "No." He chuckles. "Come on Love." I nod and get out of the car. We walked on to the pier and there were several rides and games there, honestly it reminded me of when my dad would take me to the county fair.

"I know you said that this pier reminded you of when your dad used to take you when you were little before he you know passed away." I nodded. "I wanted you to relive your childhood days love." My eyes started to tear up. "Don't think about anything or anyone, just look within you and become that little girl again, and have fun." I couldn't help it and I ran up to Killian and kissed him.

I let go and caress his face. "You're amazing." He smiles. "Well I have been told that." I nudge him and he laughs. "Come on lets have fun." I nod.

We got on several rides that weren't that rough and played so many games. I honestly felt like a child again and it was all thanks to Killian. After we finished with the rides and games, we each grabbed some dessert. I got a funnel cake and Killian got ice cream. We walked down to the beach and sat by the shore as we ate our desserts.

"Did you have fun love?" I nod as I was taking a bite out of my funnel cake. I finished chewing and smiled. "I haven't had this much fun in so many years." He smiles. "That's good." I nod as I looked out at the horizon. This is such a perfect time to bring up the fact that we haven't been officially engaged.

I put the plate down and I get up. I take a deep breath in and smiled. I turned around and I see Killian on one knee. "Emma, I think it's time we make this official." I gasp. "Killian it was my turn to ask." He laughs. "No it was mine." I chuckle. "So Emma, will you marry me?" I smiled as I got down to his level.

"Yes." He smiles and kisses me. Our kids deepens within seconds but then we let go. He slides the ring on my finger then kisses my hands. "I love you Emma." I smile as I caress his cheek. "And I love you Killian."
