If Only it was about Love...

Reshu,

''What are you doing here Resh? Its late you should be sleeping by now.'' Yash said as I stepped into his room. He was leaving for Delhi in morning and my heart constricted with strange pain. He watched me keenly, looking for his answers. I didn't know what to tell him, I didn't wanted him to leave. he had become a habit for me and I wasn't ready to part.

''This, between us is not temporary right. You won't vanish again like before.'' I gave words to my fear. Yash filled the gap between us with 2 steps, his large palm cupped my cheek. ''Why this sudden question Resh, don't you trust me?''

''I do, I really do. But I am scared of losing you Yash. What if something separate us, again?''

Yash took another step eliminating the space for air. His lips landed on mine for a slow loving passionate kiss. I felt my existence , my fear melting in his lips, ''Does it feel better?'' He asked leaning his forehead against mine. I nodded, tears trickling down my cheeks. He wiped them with his thumb pad. ''Resh I knew never use to cry, she would rather make others cry''

''That Resh is gone, the one you know is a girl scared to be hurt again. '' He pulled me closer as I rested my head on his chest. ''Resh,  I am here to stay. Whatever it is , we are going to fight it together. Now, I don't want you sitting and bothering yourself about what is going to happen of our future. Because we are going to make it the way we want it. Do you understand.'' I just nodded, too overwhelmed with the way things were moving. I was just getting use to the feeling of him in my life and now an unknown fear grips my mind and hard. ''Can I sleep here, just for today.''  I pleaded and he cocooned me in his arms.

Though, it was my favourite place, I couldn't sleep. I feared he would again vanish from my life like he did 6 yrs back. Wrapping my arm around his waist I pulled myself closer. His arm enveloped me and with other he lifted mu chin up, ''What's bothering you love?''

''We come from 2 different communities , I don't know if my parents will agree..'' She pecked my lips bring my words to halt. ''Doesn't matter, its my job to convince one and all. You just relax and try , you know its necessary for you to look beautiful on our wedding. ''

''I will miss you.''

He smiled, pecked my eyes, nose, cheeks, chin  , lips and then he kissed my forehead deep. ''I promise not to make you wait for long Resh. More than you I want us together.'' His fingers combed back my hair pulling me tightly into his arms. Resting his head over mine he took a deep content breath, which bought a smile to my face. The warmth of his arms calmed my scared heart, taking me deep into a slumber.

''Take care of my Resh Shikha, I am counting on you.'' Yash said stading at the door ready to leave .Shikha frowned, ''Who is going to take of me? I helped you so much and you didn't even once mention that I should take care of myself nor did you direct your Reshu to take care of me.''

Yash and I watched Shikha's non stop ranting with mouth hung wide open. He then grabbed her cheeks pulling them hard. She yelped, ''leave yash.''

''I know you will take a very good care of yourself and her. After all, you have to arrange our wedding and dance too.'' Shikha gave him a warm parting hug. He cupped my cheek with his palm, ''take care love.'' I have never been a cry baby but at that moment, tears were ready to spill out of my eyes. Next moment my arms were around his neck and face buried in it. I was sobbing like a baby. I heard footsteps and understood Shikha would have left us alone. The door which was open waiting for my life to step out went shut with a bang, I felt being lifted up in air ,and my arms tighten around him. He walked carrying me in his arms as I sobbed, he placed me gently on the bed and came over me locking his eyes with his, ''Look at me Resh, if you keep crying this way, I won't be able to leave. It pains to watch you like this. I will come back I promise.''
