Maze Runner The Scorch Trials

Chapter 11: Base.

We sat like that for a while in silence until Sonya spoke up.

"Y/N/N, when did you and Newt become a thing?" She asked.

"Not too long ago," I said looking at Newt.

"Oh, ok." She said.

"Where did you go, Sonya, I went to sleep with you there then woke up and you were gone," I said.

"We escaped through the vents, we got out, and then the Right Arm found us." She said.

I nodded and held onto Newt's hand.

"How has Mil been?" She asked.

"She's been great I mean it was rough for her to get this far but she did," I said.

"Good. Did you have any trouble on your way here?" She asked.

I then began telling her the story of how we got here. When I was finished her mouth was open.

"Wow, and you survived all of that?" She asked.

"It wasn't that hard," I said.

"So Newt I'm guessing you know all about Y/N/N then?" She asked.

"Yeah, the first night we actually told each other about our Mazes and what happened." He said.

"What were you in your Maze?" She asked.

"I was a runner or in your case a mapper but I was also second-in-command like Y/N/N." He said.

She nodded and we sat in silence for a while.

"We're here guys." She said.

The car stopped and we all got out. Newt before me. He held his hand out for me and helped me out of the car. We all looked at the camp that the Right Arm had. It wasn't an army it was a baby army but it's the best one we got. I saw Mil and she walked over to me. She grabbed hold of my hand and we started walking. Newt was a little behind us making sure we weren't going to get hurt. We walked through the camp.

"Hey, where's Vince?" Harriet asked some guy walking by.

"I think somewhere over there." The guy said pointing in front of us.

"Who's Vince?" Minho asked.

"He's the one who decides if you get to stay," Sonya said.

"I thought the Right Arm was supposed to be an army," Minho said.

"We were and this is all that's left of us," We looked to our right to see a man with a beard and hair that had grey streaks in it.

"A lot of people died getting us this far. Who are they?" I'm guessing Vince asked.

"They're immunes we caught them coming up the mountain," Harriet said.

"You check 'em?" He asked.

"I know these three," Harriet pointed to Aris, Mil, and me.

"I trust them." She finished.

"Well, I don't. Check 'em." He said.

A man walked up to Brenda.

"Hey, boss." The man said.

Immediately Brenda fell to the ground.

"Brenda? Brenda!" Jorge said falling to his knees and holding her.

"What's wrong with her?" Vince asked.

"I don't know," Jorge said.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Brenda kept saying that over and over.
