Danny stepped into the halls of a chaotic scene. Dash was shoving a nerd into a locker, Paulina was caking her face in makeup. Danny turned to his side, expecting Sam to say something about it. Then his eyes watered. He remembered.

Sam and Tucker had been lost. They were now sitting in heaven, with out him. He thought, what if I could join them? Before a tear made his way down his face.

He was immortal. He couldn't die. He wished Jazz was there to wrap her arms around him and tell him everything was going to be okay. But he froze, mid-step. Jazz had called him a week before, a suicide call. The gun shot rung in his ears.

Danny thought of his friend Clockwork, before he hit his head on his locker door. Clockwork had faded three days before. Gone, no where to be seen. He thought of his ghostly friends, then remembered Skulker killed them mercilessly.

He was truly alone in this world now. No one to help him in battle, no one to be by his side when he needed it most, no one to help him get away from his parents, no one to talk to. By now he was sitting in the middle of class.

He glanced at the clock, then scolded himself. He still had twenty minuets. Time wouldn't matter much anyway, there was no time when he could talk to anyone. He put his head in his hands, tears falling.

"Fenton?" Mr. Lancer asks. Danny didn't look up and Mr. Lancer rolled his eyes, thinking he was asleep again.

"Someone wake him up." He growls. Dash got an evil grin on his face. As he approached the boy, his smirk grew even wider.

When he was a foot away Danny stood, startling everyone. His tear soaked hands fell to his side. "I'm awake, Lancer." He says.

"Whaaa?" Dash asks. Danny's face was covered by midnight black hair.

"Look people in the eyes when your talking to them." Mr. Lancer scolded.

"Why should I, it's not going to make any difference whether someone knows I'm talking to them." Danny sat down.

"Don't make me call your parents." Mr. Lancer growls. Dash sat down in a mad way.

"Who? Maddie and Jack? What difference is it going to make? They could ground me for a million years and I wouldn't listen to those fools." Danny hissed. His eyes glowed green.

"Don't talk about your parents in such a rude manner." Mr. Lancer took a step towards the boy, but he raised a hand.

Danny looked up, his eyes glowing green reflecting off his tear stained face. "No. I'm sick of this endless cycle. No body noticing. Where do you think Tucker and Sam are? Where do you think?"

"They are right-" Mr. Lancer stopped, staring at the place the two students should have been.

"Where do you think my sister has been?"

"She... She's sick, she's not been at our daily meet for some time."

"THEY'RE DEAD! They're gone, Lancer. The only people I could talk to, gone! And no one but me has noticed. Sam and Tucker? Murdered. Jazz? Suicide. All of my ghost friends? Killed by Skulker in cold blood?" Danny didn't even pause for a breath.

"Have you not noticed, for a year, that I've stopped growing. That I've been acting strangely, always disappearing? That I'm dead?" Danny kept an even tone, it had a ghostly echo.

He took off his hat, showing two cat ears and his tail dropped. Two white rings formed around him, turning him into the town hero. "I'm sick of all this, I need to end it all.. But I can't BECAUSE I HAVE A POINTLESS OBSESSION IN KEEPING YOU ALL SAFE, ALL PROTECTED. But does it matter? NO. Because all you guys do is watch me, you are alright with me getting stitches. Is it because ghosts can't feel pain? Guess what. We can. We feel it ten times more than humans, too. Heightened senses and all." He let out a ghostly chuckle.

"But hey, now that I don't have an obsession I can finally see everyone. Clockwork, Sam, Tucker, Jazz, Pandora. I just have one request. Before I go, tell everyone. Tell them they killed their hero. Tell them they killed Danny Fenton. That they killed Danny Phantom." Danny faded, disappearing for the very last time.

In heaven, he was welcomed with open arms and tears. Sam and Tucker were fine, with wings on there back. They had watched him everyday, trying to reach him. Danny smiled, finally feeling at peace. Jazz was there, along with everyone else Danny had lost. They were all content, happy for the first time.
