OKAY EXPLANATION

OKAY. UM. I NEED TO EXPLAIN I'M NOT REALLY WEIRD ON THE HALF CAT THING.

Danny's ectoplam is unstable, and he needed something to stabilize it. I'll write a oneshot about it. Cats have a connection to the dead, so I used that. I was going to write a whole book about it, and the oneshots would be some of the follow ups, but I never finished the book.

Danny felt himself being torn apart, falling apart. He felt panic rise to his chest as his parent's words recited in his head.

Ectoplasm repells human blood, it evolved and bloomed from it. Some of it is poison to the ectoplasm. If it needed to stay together it would need some sort of barrier to act to keep them together. Ectoplasm can evolve, yes, but the salt levels inside the blood of a human dry out and make the ectoplasm go into a state of shock and panic and it falls apart after some state of time.

A barrier. He needed some sort of barrier before he dissolved. Some sort of other blood into his system. His body reacted to this new knowledge before he did and he blacked out from pain.

When he woke up he was under his bed, curled up, with black fur and ears on top of his head.

It took him several hours to calm down and piece together a explanation.

Okay, Danny thinks, you can do this. His ectoplasm de-mutated to cat's blood. Cats have certain DNA that allows them to have the connection beyond what a human could to the chemicals, atoms, and toxins forming a ghost. They had a stronger connection. It was calming his blood and stabilizing his ectoplasm. Okay, maybe I can deal with this.
