Chilly Winds (Her Perspective)

      Dinner was a such a blast! The girls and I knew we'd be sharing a table with another large group, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that we were sharing with Colby and his friends! He looks incredibly handsome tonight in his red button up shirt and slacks. Everyone seems to be getting along great, and I think they're may be some chemistry between Aaron and Haylee because they were so wrapped up in their own conversations that they barely noticed all the rather "silly" gestures Heath was making towards them the entire time. After we've all had our desserts, we decide to split up to make sure everyone gets to do what they want. As for my girls, Brittany, McKaylin and Sarah went to the piano bar to relax with a night cap. Taylor, Jake and Stephanie went to go check out the hot tubs on the upper deck while Haylee went off with Aaron somewhere...and me, well I'm enjoying my leisurely walk around the ship with Colby. 

    We walk for a bit. I honestly don't even know if he knows where we are at. As we walk, the reggae band started to play "Is This Love" by Bob Marley. Perfect timing right. 

  The wind picks up. Me, being in my staples dress, gets goosebumps. I want to say it's from the wind, and not from standing next to Colby, but then I would be lying. Colby noticed. 

  "You look chilly. Let me give you my jacket." He says as he starts to take it off. 

  "No No it's fine. I don't want you to be cold." 

   "Wow. Your are so thoughtful. But I wouldn't want my little Maddie to be cold" He says all jokingly as he gives me the jacket anyways. "Its alright that I call you Maddie right?" He ask hesitantly. 

   "Of course. Thats what my friends call me. My family call me Matt or Matt Matt." I say embarrassed. 

   He smiled. "Thats cute." We continue walking. Before we know it, we are in front of the ship. The stars were shining brighter than his eyes. We stop at the front of the ship. 

   "Wow" He says. "The view is almost as beautiful as you". 

   I didn't know what to say. "you too." There was an long awkward pause there. Did I just call him beautiful? He laughs a little. Thank God he thought it was funny. Why do I have to be such an awkward person? 

   "So whats with this trip. I mean, what brings you and you "possy" onto the boat." He breaks  the awkward silence. 

   "Well, Haylee just finished her doctorate program at college and Brittany and Mckalyin are starting their new jobs. They worked hard and we haven't had a girls trip in a long ass time. Taylor and Sarah are my family and they have never been on a cruise before and I have been on 5. And Stef, she needed a break from her husband and her child. She really deserved a break. They all deserve the best in life. 

   He put his arm around me. "Wow, I couldn't do college. I could barley do school". 

   "Oh I know" I say not realizing what just came out of my mouth. Great. Now he thinks I am a stalker. 

   "Yeah I often forget that your a fan." He says awkwardly. "So what brings you on this trip."

   I shrug as I look out into the ocean. " I don't know. Adventure I guess. I never went to college. I wan't to make it big. To be known. Kind like you." I said. "What about you?"

  He turns my head to face him, "To try new things, meet new people, fall in love". 

   In that note, he kept getting closer to me. Just inches away from my face. He is going to kiss me. But what if I am bad at it and he looses interest in me. I turn my head quickly. "Wow the stars are really beautiful. Don't ya think." I say. 

   He hesitates. "Yeah they are. You are too." Silence. "Hey its getting late. Can I walk you to the elevator?" 

   "Sure" I say, feeling bad for what I did. Why did I have to be such a bitch? The walk to the elevators was quiet. When we finally reach the door, I give him back his jacket. It was good while it last. It smelled just like him. 

    "I really had a good time. I got to meet the beautiful girl today." He said. He gave me a hug and left as I walked into the elevator.  

       As I was walking down the hallway to our rooms, I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't even notice Haylee walking towards me from the opposite direction. We met up at our door. "Oh hey girl! What have you been up to this evening?" I asked.

     "I've been with Aaron actually" replied Haylee, "we had such a good time!"

        I'm so excited to find out that she was hanging out with Aaron tonight because I think they would make such a cute couple! "Tell me all about it!" I say as we're going into the room. All the rest of the girls are laid out with tons of sweets watching Friends on t.v. "Hey little ladies!" exclaims McKaylin. "Time to kiss and tell," she says with a wink. Haylee and I look at each other with exasperated grins. "You first," I tell her.

           Haylee lights up as she starts to elaborate on her time with Aaron following dinner. "First, we went to check out the club, but decided it wasn't really our type of atmosphere, so we headed up to the top deck to play mini golf! He's so adorable and sweet and we had such a fun time" says Haylee with the biggest grin on her face. She can't stop smiling and I'm beginning to realize that they have some real chemistry!

          "Okay Matt, you next!" orders Taylor, "tell us ALL the dirty details." I laugh and try to convince Taylor and everyone else that there wasn't any "dirty" details from the night. 

      "Well he gave me his jacket and he was so sweet and..."I look at them with cringe. "He tried to kiss me but I turned my head before he could because I was scared that I would be bad at kissing him." I say as I put my head in my hands. 

   "Madison!" Sarah yells! "You are an amazing person. Don't be afarid. You will be an amazing kisser. And he will see that." She grins. "He might feel it too if you know what im saying." 

   The whole room is filled with laughter. We split up into our two rooms. Taylor, Haylee, Stef, and I walk across the room. We get dressed for bed and all fall fast asleep.
