"I am so late. The boys are going to kill me." I thought. I was moving as fast as I could to the school. It was half past 9 and I was suppose to be at the school at 9.
I jumped off the last rooftop and hit the railing by the river. It was a shortcut for AT riders that Akito had taught me. As I neared a bridge I jumped from the railing up to the cement walkway leading to the school. It took me less than ten seconds to find the boys. All five of them were up on the roof facing another team of AT riders. I bounced off the fence around the top of the school and landed next to Akito.
"Sorry I'm late. What happened?" I asked.
"We got challenged. Ikki was hoping you'd show since it's a dash." I realized it was Agito, not Akito, who was currently in control.
"Okay then." I turned to Ikki.
"Okay. We bet our emblem." The other team's leader said.
"Fine." Ikki sounded a little bored. "What's the track?"
"One lap on the fence around the school." He replied.
"Deal." Ikki smiled.
"Just like our first fight with the Sabel Tigers. You remember that, right Ikki?" Kazu asked.
"Course. It was our first match." Ikki and Kazu smiled at each other.
"So, who's first up?" I asked, alerting my team I was there.
"Hey Angel." Ikki said. "I'm thinking Kazu will go first." He said.
"Fine by me." I replied.
"Wait. You have Angel on your team?" The leader asked.
"That going to be a problem?" I asked as I turned to face them.
"Not at all. I just hadn't realized Angel was on Kogarasumaro." He replied. I shrugged and smiled.
"Let's get this show on the road." I said.

Kazu won his match easily. He was only a blur on the fence. Agito had gone next and he had won easily as well. Ikki was just about to finish his match and I was up last.
Ikki was behind his opponent but jumped over his head at the last second and crossed first. "I win." He said triumphantly. I smiled as he jumped down. Even with all the matches I had been to I had never been in one like this. It was so much more fun and so much more competitive than I had expected, but it by far one of the best experiences of my life.
"Angel, you're up." Ikki said. I moved into place next to my opponent. The guy was almost twice as tall as I was and didn't seem to think I was going to be a challenge.
"You're pathetic and tiny." He muttered.
"Just be quite. You've never seen me race." I muttered. His comment didn't really bother me. I knew I was tiny, but I used it to my advantage. I could fly and that's all that mattered to me.
"Ready?" Agito asked. We both nodded and I moved into a crouch, leaning back so I was in a squat with my right leg under me and my left in front of me. "Get set. Go!"
I lept of the ground as fast as I could and hit the railing. The other guy was ahead of me by a little and was saying something, but I tuned him out and increased my speed. I crouched slightly then jumped.
I front flipped and did a handstand on his shoulders. I shoved off, spun, and landed ahead of him. I looked back and smiled at him before I shot of as fast as I could. I reached the finish line almost a full half-lap ahead the guy. Just before I got to the finish I lept up and flipped with my arms spread wide. It was my signature move. I landed lightly on my toes on the cement post, one foot ahead of the other.
