"Just Friends" (Hayes Grier Fanfic)

(Hi!! Okay so this is the first fanfic Ive ever wrote so the first chapter sucks but believe me after that it actually gets into a better story that makes more sense....Just please bear with me through this chapter!)

*introduction*

My name is Bethany and I live in a small town named Mooresville, North Carolina. I have blonde hair and blue eyes and I'm not the skinniest. I have a lot of friends and I have a lot of enemies. Let me just say that there is this kid named Hayes Grier and he is horrible. But then again, he's amazing.

*Bethany's POV*

"BETHANY WAKE UP ITS YOUR LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!"-Tris (Bethany's mom)

"Mommmm do I have to go?"

"Yes honey you've got to go"

Shit. Again I have to go to school and suffer throught the embarrassing, awkwardness of Hayes fucking Grier. He hasn't said anything to me since

that one night. That one stupid party that ruined our friendship. We were never that close but there were always rumors going around about us. "Did you know Bethany hooked up with Hayes last night?" "Bethany is such a slut". But the worst rumor of them all was true..."Hayes made out with Bethany and then went and kissed Maddy." Fuck. Hayes is horrible but then again he was amazing.

*Flashback*

"Hi!!!" I said as my best friend Lily opened the door. I could already smell the alcohol in her breath.

"Skfnrjskhheeeeyyy!" She slurred her words and I got worried but decided to forget about it. There were probably around 150 people there already and of course her parents were out of town. Almost all of our grade was there including Hayes. He is so cute. His stunning blue eyes met mine and he walked over to talk to me. And I obviously started to freak out.

"Hey Bethany. I feel like we haven't talked in forever!" Hayes said.

"Yeah well we don't have any classes together and that sucks" Oh shit that sounded despirate.

"Well I've got to go but I'll see you around?"

"Sure! See you later" OMG HE ACTUALLY KNOWS I EXIST!!!!

A couple hours later we all got bored so I started to head home.

"HEY BETHANY WAIT UP" I would recognize that voice anywhere, it was Hayes.

He was walking with this girl named Maddy and I never have actually talked to her before but she seems like a total bitch.

He ran up to me and gave me a hug from behind. HOLY POO HAYES IS HUGGING ME!!!!! He turned me around so that I was facing him, and our body's were very close.

"Hey Hayes whatsu..."

He lips were on mine. Wtf? I decided to embrace it and I kissed him back.

We separated.

He whispered in my ear " I've always wanted to do that"

I was to shocked to do or say anything. He walked back to Maddy and kissed her. Not as passionately as he kissed me but still wtf. Hayes and I were never even a thing and now I'm upset? Bethany get over it, it's just a boy...I couldn't hold it in. I walked home at plugged in my dead iphone.

Oh my gosh why am I suddenly popular? I decided to check my texts first. They were in a group message with my friends Hazel, Sydney, and Grace. (We do everything together).

Grace- omg get some Bethany get some

What are they talking about??!?!?

I go to Instagram and see it. A video of Hayes kissing me and then Maddy. Shit. The video was on everybody's account and they all had hate comments about me.

Fuck.

*flashback over*
