"Just Friends" (Hayes Grier Fanfic)

Chapter 3

School is finally over and I can forget about Hayes. Oh wait, no I can't, he lives right next to me. I got home to my mom frantically cleaning the entire house.

"What are you doing mom?"

"Oh I'm just cleaning up because we are going to have some guests stay a few nights at our house" she said sounding panicked.

"When do they come?" I asked.

"At 4:30 and then will stay here for at least a week"

It was 2 o'clock now so I decided to clean myself up. I took a shower and then put on white shorts and a pastel floral spaghetti strapped shirt. I blowed dryed and straighted my hair and then put it into a ponytail. Then I put on a little bit of brown eyeliner and mascara and I was ready. It was already 4 so I decided to go on twitter and Hayes had just tweeted:

"@hayesgrier: Goodbye house, we may be leaving but when we come back you will look better then ever."

Okay so that is a weird tweet, I heard the doorbell ring and my mom yelled at me to go answer it.

I opened the door to see the Grier family with suitcases. Wtf?!

Hayes, Nash, Skylnn, will, and Elizabeth were staying in my house. Oh joy.

"Hi sweetie!! How have you been!?" Elizabeth said

"Oh umm I'm great, umm come in"

My mom came out and greeted all the Griers and told them to sit down at the dining room table so we could all eat dinner. We were having steak and salad and the entire dinner Hayes didn't say a word. Ugh. Then we discussed the rooms that they were staying in. Elizabeth and Skylnn got the guest bedroom, Nash and Will got the basement (which is actually really nice) and Hayes is in my room with me. Shit.

I exused myself from the table and I ran up to my room and cleaned it super quickly. Next thing I know there is a knock on the door.

"Come innnn!" I screamed because my room was pretty big.

It was Hayes with his suitcase and a worried look on his face.

"Oh um hey" I said

"Are you okay with sharing a room with me because i will sleep in the hallway if your not" he said really awkwardly.

"No umm it's fine"

He set up his bed on the couch I had in my room and he went on his phone.

We sat in silence for a good 10 minutes until

Hayes said, "I'm sorry Bethany, I know I made your junior high experience a living hell and I'm sorry for that."

"Why would you ever do that to me?"

"Because well I don't know. I was being stupid and I have always hated Maddy anyways"

"Then why did you kiss her??" I started to get annoyed

"I just...UGH!!" And just like that he stormed out of my, I guess our, room.
