Chapter 5

*Bethany's POV*

I woke up at 10:49 to see that Hayes is asleep on my couch. Jeez can't he just leave already?? I went downstairs, ate some cereal and then come back upstairs to take a shower. It was really cold out today so I put on my leggings with a hoodie and pink converse. I didn't bother to do my hair, but I did put on some mascara. By the time I came out of the bathroom, Hayes was already awake and dressed (and looking really cute I might add).

"Good morning Bethany"

"Hey, good morning" things were still really weird between us so I tried not to talk to much.

"I'm ready to explain" Hayes said while shuffling his feet.

"Okay, go for it"

"It was a mistake, I was drunk, and I did mean to kiss you but once I went back to Maddy she kissed me! Believe me I hate Maddy and I would never kiss her on purpose....I'm sorry" he said

"I accept your apology, so ummm let's just be friends now and act like that never happened?" I said.

"Of course"

*Hayes POV*

That was the scariest thing I have ever done. At least now she is open to being friends, then we might be able to become more than friends. Maybe, just maybe.

"Bethany, do you want to come penny boarding with me?" I asked her.

"Well actually I have a penny board but I have not idea how to actually ride it" she said. She was so damn beautiful.

"Great, I'll teach you! Let's go!"

And I grabbed her hand and ran out of her room.

She grabbed her penny board and walked back over to me.

"Okay, teach me" she said

I put my hands on her hips and she put her hands on my shoulders. I like her so much. She is amazing.

I couldn't help but lift her off of the penny board and pull her into a huge hug.

*Bethany's POV*

Hayes' hands were on my hips. Omg he is so cute. I have liked him, and hated him for a long time. He pulled me off my penny board and hugged me.

His jacket smelt like axe and his warmth felt amazing. I never wanted to let go.

*Hayes' POV*

I picked her up and carried her up to our room and set her on the couch. I put in the movie "frozen" and joined her back on the couch.

She was cold so she snuggled up against me and put her head on my shoulder. I put my arm around her and pulled her even closer.

By this point neither of us were actually watching the movie.

She looked up at me with her dark blue eyes and said, "Hayes I'm glad we can be friends, because I mean your so nice and sweet and you-"

I kept looking from her lips to her eyes and I finally decided to go for it.

I kissed her on the lips, and she kissed back. I could taste her cherry chapstick. This felt so right.

*Bethany's POV*

HAYES IS KISSING ME!! But the bad thing is, it feels so wrong. Last time Hayes kissed me he ran away. But I will never forget how he whispered "I've wanted to do that for a long time" Into my ear. Just thinking about it gave me goosebumps.

I pulled away after about a min.

It was already 11:02 so I decided to go to sleep. I went and changed into sweatpants and and a t-shirt, and then hoped into bed. Hayes had already put on his sleeping shorts too. And he had his shirt off. O my gosh I couldn't help but stare.

*Hayes' POV*

I turned around and caught Bethany staring at me.

"O my gosh I'm sorry." She said

"It's okay...I actually kinda liked it" I said

She fell asleep and I went and got in her bed with her. She snuggled up against me and grabbed my hand and put it around her.
