"Just Friends" (Hayes Grier Fanfic)

Chapter 7

*2 days later*

*Bethany's POV*

I haven't gotten any more texts from Maddy so that's good but I never told Hayes what was wrong. I learned that there house was being remodeled and it could take up to 6 months to finish. Oh joy. Hayes Grier in my house for six months. Jeez.

I was eating breakfast in my sports bra and sweatpants thinking I was the only one awake and then Nash walked into the kitchen. I tryed to cover up but it was too late. Whatever.

"Morning Bethany"

"Good Morning" I said really happily

"So um I heared you have an older brother?" Nash said

"Yeah his name is Christian. He has been in Michigan for a water polo tournament for the past 2 weeks. He actually happens to be your age too."

"When's he coming back?? All my friends are out of town and when they come back I'll be at magcon" he said

"He comes home tomorow actually but um what's magcon?"

"It stands for meet and greet convention and it's where one a month a travel to a state with Hayes and some other guys and I get to meet and proform for my fans"

"Fans???" I quiestioned. Why does he have "fans". I mean he seems normal to me.

"Yeah um well yeah" He then walked out of the room and went back down to the basement.

Okaaayyyy so that was weird. I mean I've known Hayes for two years and he has never mentioned that his brother was famous.

I decided to just forget about it and I went back up to Hayes and my room and Hayes was still asleep. Typical Hayes. I got my clothes and went into the bathroom and took a shower. Then I changed into a tribal patterned flowy shirt and black denim shorts. I brushed my teeth and then started putting on foundation when somebody knocked on the door.

"Yess??" I said

"Are you almost done in there because I need to shower too ya know"

It was Hayes.

"Yeah I can finish up in my room" I said.

I gathered up the rest of my makeup and got some stuff to finish my hair. I opened the door with my foot to reveal a shirtless Hayes. Jeez I get mesmerized everytime. I quickly snapped out of it and sat on the floor in from of my wall mirror so I could finish getting ready.

"Thanks..." He said," Is there any nicknames I can call you? Your name is kinda long"

"Yeah well some of my friends call me Beth..." I said trailing off

"I like Beth. It fits you. You wanna go to the movies with me after I shower?" He said

"Yeah sure what movie do you wanna see?"

"How about The Fault In Our Stars?" He winked and walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

How did he know I wanted to see that movie so badly?!?!?

*Hayes POV*

I walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind me.

I had overheard Bethany on the phone with Sydney saying that whoever took her too that movie she would love forever. Guess who she will love forever? Me. Hayes Grier.

I got out of the shower and put on my favorite clothes and my vans with nike elite socks. I sprayed myself with axe and was ready to go. This is when I will make Bethany fall in love with me.

I walked out of the bathroom and Bethany was sitting there ready to go.

"Hey Beth the movie starts in 20 minutes you wanna go now?" I said

"Yep let's go. But wait who's gonna give us a ride? Both of our moms are at the mall again."

"I'll ask Nash or Will" I said

After some arguing, Will agreed to drive us there.

We got popcorn and candy and found our seats. The movie stared and we both got quiet.

At the sad part I looked over at Bethany and saw that she was crying. Nows my change. I can't blow it. I put my arm around her and she snuggled her head into my shoulder. I could feel her tears soaking through my shirt but I counldnt care less.

After the movie ended she was still crying so I kissed the top of her head and said,"I'm here if you need a shoulder to cry on."

This made her giggle and cheer up a little bit.

We walked out of the movie theater and I brushed my hand against hers. I then interlocked my fingers with hers and she looked up at me and smiled. I kissed her cheek and we walked all the way home holding hands. We talked about everything from pineapples to the Bermuda Triangle. And then we were home.

*Bethany's POV*

Okay fine I admit, I like Hayes.

A lot.
