*To be noted I don't own any of the TMNT characters, this is just a fan fiction. Idk why I needed to write that down, I just don't wanna be sued. I don't have the money for that...*

**Also sorry for a really long exposition before meeting the turtles, I just wanted to have a different beginning then that you were randomly attacked. Hopefully [crosses fingers] this sort of thing works, if not this will be my only long intro and the rest will be short and sweet.

Maybe3: Just like you Raph! <3

Raph: *death glare* Just get on with the story...

Maybe3: awww, so cute

It had been another casual day. Light from the glorious sunset streamed through your bedroom window, landing on your body like a warm blanket. Your room smelled just like the cool fall air, closing your eyes you imagined yourself outside on the streets of New York.

To be noted, the only reason that your bedroom window was opened in the first place was because you had left the window open by accident that morning while rushing off to school; almost late as usual. As you were hopping pathetically out your door, trying to eat a piece of buttered toast and put on your skinny jeans at the same time, you failed to notice your window wide open.

You blushed at the thought of your neighbors and pedestrians that morning watching some crazy girl, half-naked, with a piece of toast in her mouth frantically hobbling around her room trying to put on a pair of pants. You made a mental note to close your window and the curtains before you went to bed, so you wouldn't be flashing the people who lived across the road anymore.

Currently, you were sitting in your favorite chair with a blanket draped around your shoulders, humming in tune with the song you were listening to with your (f/c) earbuds.

There wasn't anything that could spoil your evening. It was just too perfect.

Until, of course, your phone buzzed. Interrupting your favorite song right in the middle of the chorus.

Fantastic timing. You thought to yourself, shifting your body out of its cozy position to sit up in the chair and lowering your feet to the ground. You checked your messages, it was your mom.

Hey sweetie, hope your homework is going well.

You almost laughed out loud, clearly she didn't know you at all. You turned your head to your doorway where you had dropped your backpack when you came home several hours ago. You could have done it hours ago, maybe you should have done it hours ago, but the sunlight flooding into your room and the comfy chair were just so inviting.

I only just got out of my first meeting and I won't make it home until past 9 tonight.

You knew exactly where this was going. She was going to ask you to-

If you could please go and pick up the budget papers at the office, it'd be a big help.

Yep. You were right. Although, at least your mom's office wasn't that far. It was only a twenty minute walk east, right by the other small businesses in the area. Your parent's bakery, Sweet-Tarts, was squeezed in between a tiny coffee shop and a closed insurance building whose only purpose now was to serve as a canvas for rebellious graffiti artists. Why the owner didn't bulldoze that eyesore, no one knew. Your mom's office was a small room at the very back of the building, as she refused to be your dad's business partner if she had to manage the business' finances with the pastries.

Groaning, you reluctantly get out of the chair and walk to your mirror hanging on the opposite wall. Overall, you looked good for sitting in direct sunlight and having gone to the gym for an hour after school. After trying to style your hair a couple of ways, you settle with tying it up out of your face in a cute messy bun. You then brush a few strands of hair off of your face before applying your favourite lip balm, check your appearance one more time and grab your fall jacket from off of your bed, where you chucked it earlier before heading out the doorway. Forgetting again to close your window.
