*Did you get that book reference? Does it count as one? I'm not sure so back to the turtles <3 *

You shrieked as you were swiftly pulled into the sewers. You attempted to release your arm from the bag's strap, but the action was so quick and the strap was attached to your elbow. The fall was about 12 feet and you landed right on your shoulder on top of a hard, spherical object.

At first you were dazed and in shock. It wasn't until what you were laying on groaned and moved that you became frightened. As soon as it twitched you yelped and jumped off, accidently falling into someone. And you knew it was a person, because as soon as your body collided with theirs, they yelped and then said awkwardly,

"Uh, guys, we might have a problem..."

Your eyes adjusted to the light and you saw who you had fallen into, they towered over you, were holding a small device that looked to have electric blender whisks attached at the end and just happened to also be a purple mask wearing giant turtle.

You didn't mean to be rude, but their appearance was so shocking that you stepped back, stumbled, and tripped over what you had landed on earlier. Or rather who. You fell so far backwards that your head wasn't on top of the object, but was dangling over the edge. In a panic you craned your neck in an attempt to get up and found yourself face to face with an another terrapin. This one however, wore a red mask and gave you a dirty look before saying irritably, "If you wouldn't mind getting off me, I'm not your personal landing mat."

You immediately got up and pressed your body against the wall, breathing heavily trying not to faint or fall apart on the spot.

Calm down (Y/N). Calm down, you can't do anything rationally if you're a panicking mess. You thought to yourself.

You gulped and tried to speak, but nothing came out. Your throat was too dry from inhaling so much oxygen needed to satisfy your racing heart.

You tried to start again, but you were cut off by a polite, yet authoritative voice.

"Miss, we aren't trying to hurt you."

"Oh-oh...okay." you stammered.

Great way to continue a conversation there (Y/N).

The red masked turtle stood up, massaging his arm and added smugly "Clearly you have different intentions."

"Raph, not the time. Plus we were the ones who pulled her down her in the first place. It's hardly her fault." added the voice.

"Yeah Raph." replied another voice childishly, "Don't be such a jerk." A orange clad turtle emerged from the shadows with his arms crossed and a smug smile on his face.

"Is that a death wish Mikey?", Raph gritted his teeth and cracked his neck.

Mikey gulped and swiftly moved behind you, cowering. You almost giggled before you snapped back to reality. Even if these guys seemed friendly enough, you still didn't know if you could trust them with the mutagen you had acquired from the Craigs.

"You think hiding behind her is gonna save you sewer-brains? She was carrying around mutagen in her bag, she's probably been brainwashed by the Kraang to deliver it to their leader." Raph exclaimed loudly.

These guys are after the stuff too. You thought to yourself. You were shifting awkwardly from foot to foot, only slightly uncomfortable by the fact that Mikey was holding on to your shoulders rather tightly.

Then silence.

Awkward silence.

They're actually considering what Raph just said. Irritated you finally piped up.

"That's a pretty harsh judgement made by someone who pulled me down a manhole!" you replied, annoyed and slightly embarrassed. You had replied to Raph's statement a little too late. It appeared that it didn't matter who you were around, you always seemed to manage to be stupidly awkward.

You looked at Raph, was that a fleeting smile you saw?

You continued, trying to keep your voice from faltering."How do I not know that you're working for the Craigs? I just got chased and nearly kidnapped by those creeps!"

"The Craigs ?" they all questioned in unison.

"The band of crazy identical businessmen that speak in third person and who are all named Craig?" you asked, confused. If these guys are so interested in the mutagen that they're willing to drag innocent people underground into NY's sewers, wouldn't they have had an encounter with the Craigs? You thought. Obviously this group of turtles was completely unaware of the Craigs existence...

Mikey snorted and stifled a laugh.

"I think you mean the Kraang." said the purple clad turtle that you had run into earlier, intelligently.

A warm blush spread over your cheeks. Way to go (Y/N). You don't even know these guys and they already think that you're a complete moron.

"Beside the point," retorted the authoritative voice, brushing off your error.

Phew. Thank you... er... who ever you are..., you thought to yourself.

He then stepped into the light. He was also another green turtle, except he wore a navy blue mask and carried two katanas on his back, or rather shell.

"We just want to know where you got the mutagen."

"And why you'd have been so stupid to steal the stuff and carry it in a flimsy bag." Raph shot back, holding up the (f/c) colour bag that you had put your mom's budget papers in as well as the vial of mutagen.

-

After you had explained how you acquired the mutagen, the blue masked turtle sighed put his hands on his face. "This makes everything more complicated. The Kraang seem to have a backup supply of mutagen, it's going to take us even longer to track down those vials and the other ones that are on the streets, just waiting to mutate citizens."

"Plus," added the turtle you had bumped into earlier, "If she can get her hands on mutagen, it's likely that other citizens are too. That could be an even bigger disaster."

"Gee, thanks." you joked.

"Oh, er... sorry. Not that humans aren't trustworthy or anything its just they're generally not knowledgeable about such complicated manners... That's not what I meant... I mean that it's unlikely they-"

Raph put his hand across the purple clad turtle's mouth. "Donnie, she was joking."

"Oh..." Donnie replied awkwardly blushing, and then added indignantly, "I knew that Raph."

You checked the time on your phone, it was 9:45pm. You were going to have to race home in order to make it before your mom did.

"Sorry to end this so short, but I need to leave." you stated, grabbing your bag from the ground and tossing it over your shoulder. "If I don't make it home before 10pm, I'm going to have to come up with one ridiculous lie." You hand the mutagen to Raph, briefly brushing your fingers on his and start walking towards the ladder leading up to the city.

"Wait!" Mikey calls to you, and then turns to the blue masked turtle "Leo, we can't let this dudette go topside, she'll get pummeled by the Kraang!"

Thinking for a moment, Leo then grabs a small piece of cardboard from the ground and writes a phone number down on it before handing it to you.

"Incase you're in danger, call us."

"Thanks." you reply kindly, although you're not too happy about holding a piece of cardboard that's been in the sewers, so you tuck it into your bag quickly.

"By the way," you say before climbing onto the rungs to head topside, "My name's (Y/N), since you didn't ask." And with that you exit the sewers and emerge again back in the deserted alleyway, under a starry night sky and the eyes of a Kraang watching your every move from a rooftop above.

*OH NO! Not the Kraang! Part 3 is in the works and coming soon!! :) *
