"Why do we have to struggle to become something?"
An old friend of mine
Posted a question on Snapchat
She's obviously going through it
Me wanting to inspire and help others
I insisted to give her my opinion.
You have to struggle to be something
Because those who want success
Have to strive to be the best
And that's not always an easy quest
You're going to come across sticks and stones
Maybe even being alone
But at the end of the day
You're making sure you have a pillow for your head to lay.
To dream and become more
To wake up and walk out that door
Deciding to grab a jacket or not
Knowing it's not always going to be a breeze
It's time to bust your ass
Its not always about financial status and class
It's about the struggling experience
That you can build off of
And become even better
Handouts aren't everything
It's okay to struggle
As long as you stay in your lane
