Vic'S pov

"Vic... Vic you and Kellin need to get up now." Jenna's soft, sleep-ridden voice woke me up the next morning at 5:30. It came too fast, the night before feeling like mere moments away when really, it had been a good 7 hours since we went to bed.

Exhausted, I sighed into the mattress and nodded slowly, mind trying to tell body to move, because no matter how much I wanted to stay under the warm blankets and close to Kellin, I knew I had to get up; it wasn't an option.

"I know," Jenna whispered agreeably as she wrapped her own blanket around her body more securely and sat down, head turning to look at Kellin, still sound asleep, mouth slightly open and gently snoring.

"I can't believe it's happening already," she smiled, unknowingly repeating the words I'd spoken last night.

"Yeah," I breathed, brushing locks of hair away from Kellin's face to reveal it more.

"He deserves this," Jenna stated, nodding her head. "I've known him for over five years and I know how much he's struggled with this. He's never once complained because he knows he could have it worse, but I saw how he wished he heard certain things."

"I can already see that," I agreed, placing a hand on his shoulder and gently shaking his sleeping form awake. I really had seen it though, and he had admitted it many times to me. It was always covered by a joke, though, like how he wished he heard how I sounded in bed, but I knew it was just to hide the fact that it truly was the one thing he'd always longed for. He was strong in that way; he was strong for living a life in silence and dealing with it only to make the best life he could out of it.

Kellin stirred under my hold, slowly blinking and yawning, eyes closing as he turned around and wrapped his arm around me, snuggling into my chest. I kept my arm slightly raised and looked at Jenna desperately, watching her giggle at the sight.

"He's terrible to wake up," she admitted, leaning closer and giving his bottom a slap, the sound muffled by the thick blanket. Kellin jerked away from the impact and turned his head towards her quickly, searching for where the sudden blow came from, locking eyes with Jenna and exhaling through his nose tiredly, glaring at her.

"You have to get up," Jenna told him, repeating it two more times because he was still tired and his eyes were half closed and he was giving her the most confused look the first two times. He sat up eventually, yawning and lazily tapping his wrist, asking for the time. Jenna grabbed the phone from the nightstand and looked it, showing Kellin that it was 5:35 in the morning and we had to get up. Breakfast wouldn't be a problem considering Kellin wasn't supposed to eat or drink anythin within 12 hours of the operation. That being said, none of us had eaten since around 6 last night and didn't plan to, to make it fair for Kellin.

He stretched and nodded, throwing the blankets off of him and throwing his legs over the edge of the bed. I watched the goosebumps form on his skin and gently trailed my fingers over his spine, catching Jenna staring at us affectionately in the corner of my eye.

"I'll leave you guys to get dressed," she told us, yawning herself and standing up, exiting the room. I sat up as well and scooted closer to Kellin, draping my legs over the side of the bed as his were and sitting next to him. I placed a finger on his chin and got him to look at me.

"You ready for this?" I asked, the look on his face giving me his exact answer: he was ready for the operation and what came after, but now that it was the day of he was starting to get anxious over it all. "It's gonna be fine," I assured him, walking to the dresser and pulling out jogging pants for us both, throwing a pair to Kellin. There was no point in getting dressed if we were just going to the hospital and back, and since I didn't have classes since I was in between changing them, it didn't matter if I got dressed either.
