WARNING: Angst ending
A/N !!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS FOR LAST STAND OF THE WRECKERS!!!!!!
I honestly can't believe I finished this, it was just a random idea then boom here's a roughly made one shot cause it's late right now and I'm not bothering to proofread it again.
It won't make sense if you haven't read the Last Stand of the Wreckers and bullets, so spoilers alert and also IDW has like the best comics.
And before we start let's agree Last stand of the wreckers is an amazing comic and whoever thinks Ironfist shouldn't/didn't need to be there can leave
Now to the story
"PROWL!" The (f/c) bot yelled angrily as they kicked opened the door leading to the white and black mech's office. Their fist clenched up into a tight ball as they slammed the door shut with a loud bang.
They scanned their (e/c) gaze across the dim room, their gaze landed on the glowing blue optics in the dark, drawing out the silhouette of a bot sitting behind the office desk. His arms rested on the empty desk with his digits crossed over one another in front of his face, his cold gaze landed on the (f/c) bot standing in rage before him. A deep scowl marked on his face as he spoke calmly, "(Y/-"
Before Prowl could finish his first word, with a blur the bot slammed their fist against his cheek before grabbing his chest Armor and lifting him up from his seat into a standing position as he leaned over the desk.
"Hitting an officer." Prowl snarled in pain as he wiped the energon caused by the punch off his face. "Smart move." He spat only to cause another fist to fly towards his face.
"Shut up!" They growled and glared down at the officer who was knocked over the punch. "You knew. YOU SENT HIM ON A SUICIDE MISSION!" They yelled in rage.
"(Y/n), calm down." Prowl said and sat up, still wiping the energon of off his face. "I gave him his dream, and you know it." The black and white bot said calmly as they stood up gracefully, their clear blue optics locked on the raging bot. His expression calm, like he had predicted everything, like everything was in his calculation, which only caused (Y/n)'s anger to burn fiercer than it already was.
"Did you hear his last words, the recording for Skyfall." (Y/n) asked as they tried to stay calm, fist curled together trying not to send another punch towards Prowl's emotionless face. "You didn't. I know you never followed Fisitron's datalog and yet he died because of your...of your disgusting plans." They spat, voice mixed with fury and sorrow at the thought of the weapon specialist. "Skyfall died after that..." They continued. "He drank Gideon glue. And Fisitron...his datalog has been put to a full stop. Not because of the stupid brain bullet, not because of Gideon glue. But because of YOU."
"Are you done?" Prowl asked after the (f/c) coloured bot stopped talking, he patted some dust off his armor.
"No." (Y/n) said and slammed another punch at the autoboot officer's face again once again, causing him to fly a few feet because of the strong impact. "Now I am. They said and rubbed their knuckles that's stinging from the punches.
Prowl growled and spat some energon on the ground just as (y/n) walked back towards the door. They opened a crack allowing the light from the hallway illuminate the dark office. "I hope it was worth it. That Aequitas thing." They spat and walked out, slamming the door shut once again, leaving the beaten Autobot alone in his office.
(Y/n)'s digits were still tightly curled around their palm as they speed walked down the hall and onto the streets. Their walk turned into skips which soon turned into sprints once they were outside, they bolted straight back towards the science lab. Shutting the door and locking themselves inside their own lab, not even bother to turn on the light as they leaned on the door and slid down onto the hard concrete.
(Y/n) buried their face in their palms as they brought their knees up to their chest, knowing there would be consequences for punching Prowl that many times but it didn't matter to them as their world has already fallen apart by the small bot's death. They wanted to scream and cry their spark out, only hoping the pain would go away.
[pss....psss...hel-pss.....hello?]
Their (e/c) optics shot up towards the sound source, the once dark room now illuminated by the light of the big screen which projected a bot. His familiar blue helm appeared with the dent near his forehead, his wide blue eyes staring straight forward as he waved slightly.
[(Y/n), hi this is Ironfist but you already knew that. If you're watching this message, which means I'm dead, but I guess you already knew that as well.] The bot in the recording spoke.
(Y/n) watched with wide eyes, their mouth agape as they slowly forced themselves onto their peds and move towards the widescreen. "I...Ironfi-"
[You're probably furious right now at my decisions and I can understand.] Ironfist said and pointed his digit at a small dent on his head. [But do you see this? There's a reason why I never fixed this dent because this reminds me of the time I have left. Why? You may ask, well there was this lab accident a while ago and one of my brain bullet experiment went wrong...or it had been tinkered with as you would've known.] he said with a knowing gaze.
(Y/n) raised their servo weekly and pressed it against the cold screen where the bot's face is now projected. Their spark beating rapidly, with every beat they could feel their spark shatter a little.
[Only a few bots knew about the injury, and as you know you were not one of them. I'm sorry, I knew you would be worried and try to find a cure as you always do. It's the same reason I didn't tell you about the deal with Prowl, not because it was a secret deal but also because I know you would stop me no matter what.] Ironfist continued as he caressed his scar caused by the brain bullet.
[But he gave me my dream in exchange for this life that may end any second. And who knows, maybe I'll find out what really happened on Pova and why Impactor quitted the Wreckers.] He continued in a somewhat cheerful tone which only caused (y/n)'s spark to ache more.
[What I'm going to say next is selfish of me. Because I would never know the answer and you'll have to live with it. I'm sorry (Y/n) but I need to say this once in my life...I love you.] And with that, the projection turned itself off, the yellowish and blue bot disappeared from the screen with a snap as (y/n) stood there speechlessly.
They opened their mouth slowly as their servo slid down the projection screen, "I hate it when you're right." They mumbled. "I would've stopped you if I knew it would cost your life" They spoke out loud to the empty screen as their servo curled up into a ball again. "And you're right you are selfish. Because you would never know I love you too..."
