A week passed after the fight and Henry and Belle hadn't spoken. Nothing had been solved but the Debutante ball was in two weeks and I still needed a date, and Caspar still hadn't asked me.
"How about Jacque Hall?" Alyx giggled.
"How about no?" I rebuffed her remark about a sub-par senior. "Why on earth would I want to date someone who's breath smells like the inside of a toilet bowl?"
Alyx turned a bright shade of red, whilst Kiera and Jane both looked at her in complete distaste.
"Go and when you return you better have a better sense of who I should take to the debutante ball. I'm not going with losers, geeks, trash and anyone who's parents aren't something in their respective industries. I am the daughter of Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass and I deserve the best, don't I?" I squared up to Alyx as she cowered.
"Yes Harriet." She scuttled away down the hall.
"Glad she's gone, how stupid was she?" Jane spoke after Alyx was out of ear-shot.
"You'll be gone soon too if you don't stop bitching. Now give me some real..." As I finished, Belle walked around the corner, looking sad.
"Go and find me a real date, I need to talk to Belle." My minions nodded and walked quickly in the opposite direction.
"Harriet..." Belle barely spoke my name before bursting out crying.
"What's the matter?" I held her gently, but I knew why she was crying.
"Henry's taking someone else to the ball." She slurred her words and I could barely understand her but I knew what she was talking about, definitely.
"Yeah I know." As I spoke, she took a hard step back.
"What do you mean you know?" She spat at my face.
"I mean I know who it is. I encouraged him to..." However, I didn't finish my sentence before she burst out in rage.
"What do YOU mean you ENCOURAGED HIM?" She shouted at my face as students stopped to see the outcome of two best friends shouting.
"I didn't finish my sentence," I spoke in a quiet voice and took a step closer to her, "I encouraged him to get back together with you and sort it out, not to go and take someone else. I'm sorry." I didn't know why I was apologising since she interrupted me, but Belle had a rage worse than her mother and was prone to get overly intense.
"Move along." Belle flicked her blonde hair in the direction of some freshmen who were gawping at us. "Nothing to see here." She spoke through tears, but the harsh tone of her voice made the freshmen scatter. "Who is she?"
I took a deep breath and took Belle by the arm. "Pearl Vanderbilt."
Belle took a sharp intake of breath. "That little bitch."
Im so sorry this is insanely short, but I haven't uploaded in forever!
I'm starting to get back into Wattpad so along with this story I will also be creating a new story called Lightening Strike (A CHERUB Fan Fiction) and continuing on with Purple Flowers [A Teen Pregnancy Story].
Each story will have a different upload day!
Thank you so much xoxo
