i dont even know why i split the chapter, there's no point. oh well, here you go!
Waking up sore isn't really a pleasant feeling, especially if it's in two areas. But to me it was something I tolerate so it wasn't a big deal. I found myself in bed, naked. Then heated memories of last night filled my memory and I grinned. It wasn't something I'd forget. I sat up and stretched my arms, sighing at the blissful feeling I felt. Last night with Noah wasn't exactly gentle. Now that idea was appalling. The gentle thing, not the fast-paced. The sun was peeking through the curtains and I was alone in a room. Noah's probably. I saw my clothes folded neatly on the bedside table and almost burst out laughing. It was strung along the kitchen floor last night. It was clear from how squeaky clean this room is that either him or his family are clean freaks. The walls were white and the furniture, wooden. I didn't feel like wearing the uncomfortable dress so I took a plain grey shirt and clean boxers from the wardrobe and took two towels, taking a quick shower, washing all signs of last night away. I even saw a swirl of a faint red color draining.
Once I was done, I stepped out of the shower. I sighed pleasantly, there's nothing like a good shower. I dried myself and dressed up. I noticed how empty and peaceful the house is. I wondered where Noah was, was this even his house. It's bigger than I imagined. Not that I actually thought much about it, me being preoccupied for the past weeks. As I went downstairs I heard a sizzle in the kitchen. I walked in, smirking at the sight of Noah cooking.
He noticed me, "Morning."
I laughed, couldn't help it. "Jeez, who knew you'd cook." And I wasn't complaining. With his back turned to me, I can admire how muscular he is. He wasn't too muscular but enough to show his muscles flexing.
"Yeah, well, I love doing just that." He sounded defensive. Or was that my imagination?
I held up both hands, as if he could see me. I took a seat on a stool, "What's for breakfast."
"The usual American Breakfast, Bacon and Eggs." He announced.
I bit back a smile, "How boring can you get?"
"Very boring." Noah turned off the stove and brought two plates over.
"Where are your parents?" I asked.
"My dad's out of town."
I didn't even think of asking about his mother. "Big event?"
He snorted, "Yeah, Escaping Noah."
I couldn't help but laugh and picked up the fork. Noticing how he was staring at me. "Do I have something on my face?"
He ignored that, "What about you? 'Rents don't mind?"
Shit! I forgot about Meredith. I was worried on what Valerie told her when I didn't come home. I groaned, placing my face in my hands. "I'm screwed. My aunt will flip." Probably not. "Valerie would probably just get me in trouble."
"Oh, she's your cousin?" I nodded. "Well, next time. Hold something over her so she'd do things for you."
Hmm. "You mean, blackmail her?"
Noah nodded, "That's how I always get what I want. I blackmail in a way that covers it up."
"Yeah but you like to plan things. I'm more of a go-go-go person."
Noah shrugged, "Just saying." And continued eating.
I on the other hand was busy worrying over what would happen. Aunt Meredith might not care about me but she sure as hell cared about her reputation and people would judge her if she lets it go that I didn't go home. I decided to go home and fix it. Maybe using an excuse that I slept over a friend's. Would Valerie cover for me? Probably not. Maybe Jillian would cover for me. Yeah that would work. But she would start butting in and she has a bog mouth. She could blurt anything to anyone. I'm sure people are better off not knowing what happened last night. They already have Andrew's rotting body to gossip about.
