Hey guys this was a fanfic I began writing awhile ago but lost the motivation (or should I say molivation? no? ok) to write so I deleted it but now (hopefully) it's back and it'll stay and I'll actually finish something for once.

So, since I can't remember what any of the characters (besides the band of course) were I've recreated this entire thing that hopefully everyone will love and enjoy more than what people did with the original story.

Thanks :)

Prologue

Danny's POV

I observed the surroundings of the small cafe carefully taking in every possible escape and sound of infected coming in through the broken windows that Ben and Dan forgot or didn't barracade properly. The distinct smell of rotting flesh hit the air and it took everything in my tiny physique to not bring up whatever was left in my stomach. We needed to get out of here but the biggest problem was, how?

"Danny!" Braden whispered whilst hid behind the counter and peered over the top to just see three infected walking towards us with flies flying in all directions around them and chunks of bloody and rotten flesh dripping off their half-dead bodies.

I crawled over to where Braden was kneeling and peered over the counter where I looked in the direction of where he was pointing with the barrel of his shotgun. He was gesturing towards an abandoned RV.

"If we distracted them and then made a run for it, we could get inside the RV and drive off leaving them behind," Braden told me, his eyes never leaving the hope he held in the Recreational Vehicle.

"Braden, what if it doesn't run?' I whispered back. His face dropped slightly but the hope he held onto never left his eyes as he turned to me and clutched his rifle tighter.

"Then we don't go down without a fight. I don't want to end up like one of them," he whispered. I remembered the faces of the disfigured and dismembered, bashing on the glass of deserted cars and buildings. Those bodies once held happy souls who had homes to go to and families to look after but now, they're monsters only after one thing; human flesh.

Ben, Jamie and Dan were busy over near the windows and doors trying to shoot down as many infected as they possibly could. I could see by their expressions they were becoming exhausted as the endless sounds of groans leaving the infected mouths of people I once used to call neighbours filled the cafe almost as much as the stench of rotting flesh baking in the summer sun from outside penetrated my nostrils making it almost impossible to not lean over and release bile from my stomach. I began to think of a way out.

"Dan! Ben!" I half shouted their names and ushered them over. They ran over and hid behind the counter with Braden and I while still continuing to cover Jamie, firing more shots at the infected approaching the cafe. I began to discuss the plan of escape I had quickly come up with while Jamie ran over to Quinn who was firing a shot gun that was way too powerful for her and he began to pull her towards us. I explained the plan to both of them and instructed them to start heading out the back door through the office and to wait for us outside. Quinn lifted her arms up, placed her palms together underneath her chin and closed her eyes tightly whilst quietly mumbling a small prayer. I placed my hands over hers and looked her dead in the eye.

"Quinn, if there is a God he would have abandoned us by now."
