Todoroki x Midoriya

Chapter 1

Midoriya POV

I woke up to my alarm beeping at me chaotically. I reach over then turn it off. Curling back into my bed sheets. I really don't want to go to school. It's my first day of highschool. Im going to U.A high. I've always wanted to go there but Kacchan... He told me to stay away from his school. My mom signed me up for U.A without knowing about what was going on. I can't tell her, her heart would shatter.
I sigh, then slowly sit up in my bed. Rubbing my face. I stand up and walk to my dresser putting on the uniform I got in the mail. I look into tbe mirror. I look like shit. I have dark bags under my eyes, caused by my lack of sleep the past few nights. My hair is even more unkept than usual. I walk out of my room then to the bathroom. Brushing my hair and rubbing my tired eyes. I force a smile then it immediately drops. How can I face my mom like this?. I hesitantly walk downstairs to greet my mother who is in the kitchen. "Izuku!" My mom says hugging me and jumping up and down. I can't help but crack a smile. "Im so excited your going to your dream school!" She squeals.

"Yeah.." I say quietly.

"What's the matter Izuku?" She asks me repositioning me to face her.
"I'm just a little nervous.." I lie hoping she doesn't notice.
She looks at me for a moment then hesitantly lets go of my shoulders.

"Ok. I believe you. " She says with a smile.

"Here eat this!" She says handing me some pop tarts.

I smile. "Thanks. I should get going." I say walling to the door and grabbing my backpack from the wall.

I was about to walk out the door when I hear my mom sniffling.

"Mom what's wrong!" I ask scared.

"Im just so proud of you Izuku. Do your best! She says smiling wide.

I nod my head holding back tears. Then walk out the door. I close it calmly. Then run down the street, untill I come to an alley. I jog into it and start bawling my eyes out as quietly as possible. Trying to avoid attention.

"Mom I'm so sorry..." I say in between muffled sobs.

I hug my knees close to my chest as I sit in the dark alley. Crying into my knees.

Is this what my life has come to?
