Midoryia POV
I wake up to my alarm beeping like crazy, then click the button to Dismiss it. I sit up then groan. I don't want to go to school. I think to myself as I stand up, almost fall over, then slowly make my way over to my bathroom. Splashing my face with water to wake myself up. I look up at my reflection in the mirror then sigh. I had trouble sleeping last night, so I have bags under my eyes. My face is pale, my nose is stuffed, and I feel like I'm going to vomit.
"At least I won't have to go to school." I mumble to myself as I stumble out of my room to find my mom.
"Mom?" I say quietly, opening her door slightly.
"Izuku, what's wrong?" She asks stepping out of her room. She takes one look at me then feels my forehead, to check my temperature.
"You're burning up..Go lay down!" She shouts, running out into the kitchen.
I do as told and curl up under the covers. I grab my phone and open the messaging app, scrolling through my contacts. Bakugo, Uraraka, and Todoroki. I click on Todoroki's name and open up the chat.
Midoryia: I'm not going to be coming to school today.
I send the message then put my phone down on my bed, staring at the ceiling. My Mom then walks into the room holding a cup if water and a medicine cup. She hand the cup of medicine to me and I drink it. It tasted gross but it should help me. She then places the cup of water on the end table next to my bed and walks out of the room after telling me to get some rest. After she leaves my phone vibrates. I pick it up and see a message from Todoroki.
Todoroki: Why not, is everything ok?"
Midoryia: yeah, I'm just sick...
Todoroki: I'm coming over.
My mind blanks after reading his message. Why would he come here, he has school. He can't just skip, right? I didn't know what to say, so I just didn't respond. I just kind of awkwardly waited in my room. After a few minutes I hear a knock at the front door my mom answers it and welcomes them inside. Saying some things I couldn't quite make out. A few seconds later a slightly panicked Todoroki flings open my door.
"I'm here."
