Todoroki x Midoriya

Chapter 5

Midoriya POV

After first period the rest of the day went by pretty smoothly. I avoided him in the halls. And was lucky enough to not have any more classes with him. Now it is lunch. I am in line with Uraraka chan as we get some food. The whole time Uraraka is blabbering about her other classes. I just smile and nod along with her. She said that she met this guy who was really funny. I think his name is Iida. Yeah. He's sitting with us at lunch today.

We walk over to an empty picnic table that is outside the cafeteria. Then sit down. Uraraka chan starts signaling over to some tall guy with glasses. He smiles then walks over to us sitting down next to Uraraka. He sticks out his hand.

"Hi I'm Iida pleasure to meet you." He says cheerfully.

I hesitantly take his hand and shake it. My hands are shaking because of how nervous I am.

"Izuku." I say nervously.

He smiles.
I start eating my turkey sandwich.
Listening to their conversation. I prefer to listen then actually talk at least until I know them.

As I was eating I felt someone tap my shoulder. I looked up and there he was. The mystery man of my dreams. Stop don't make it weird. I mentally slap myself. He gestures to the seat next to me.

"Can I sit here?" He asks

I am a little shocked. Why would someone as cool as him want to sit with me?

I nod my head yes. Then scoot over slightly giving him room to sit. He sits down. I'm sure that I am blushing like crazy right now.

I look at Uraraka who is smiling devilishly at me. Iida is just super confused.

I tug on the mystery man's shirt. He looks at me and I immediately turn as red as a tomato.

W-what's your n-name? I ask quietly hiding my face.

He smiles.

"Todoroki." he says plainly.

I smile nervously.

"I'm Izuku." I say starting to retrieve my confidence.

"So what happened earlier? In first period?" he asks concerned.

My expression fades.

"Oh uh. That." I say sadly.

"Yeah I would like to know that as well." Uraraka butts in.

That's just Kacchan being Kacchan! I say dismissively trying to force a smile.

Uraraka sighs.

"Izuku...we know that there is something up between you two." she says calmly. .

"It's nothing really." I lie. This is the second time today you've lied to someone who cares about you. Why are you like this?

"If you say so.." she says defeated.

I continue to eat my sandwich. Avoiding everyone's eyes. Eventually Uraraka and Iida started talking again. So I listened. I felt someone's eyes on me so I looked at Todoroki and surely enough he was looking at me. He smiled then looked away. I nervously returned his smile but I could feel my face heating up.

I look around and end up making eye contact with Kacchan who glares at me. He looks furious.

I scoot closer to Todoroki.

Everyone else at the table is confused for a moment. Especially Todoroki who now has a shaking Izuku practically sitting on his lap.

Uraraka and Iida look over to Kacchan's table. Kacchan looks away. Defeated.

"Izuku what's wrong?" Todoroki asks me.

"I uh..." I stutter scooting away from him. My face practicality a heater.

Uraraka laughs. Then glares at Kacchan.

I let out a quiet giggle. Which gets a smile from Uraraka and Iida.

I look over at Todoroki. His face a light shade of pink. He is staring at me.

"Um Todoroki kun..."I say shyly.

He snaps out of his thoughts. Then speaks.

"What?" he says calmly.

"You're staring.." I stutter blushing.

"Oh um sorry.." he says blushing lightly.

The bell rings signaling that lunch is over.

"Izuku what class do you have next."
Todoroki asks standing up.

"Gym." I say grumpily

"Me too." he says with a smile.

I smile wide. Maybe school won't be so bad after all...
