Peace. It was a simple concept, and something everyone thought would be easy to do. Yet, not even a day into Mystic Falls being evacuated, the deal that was made was broken. In the twon square, the body of Malcolm had been found, his heart having been torn from his chest. It left Lily, Candices and the heretics not only in grief mode, but also with their minds set upon getting revenge.
Having now picked a side, Enzo did as Lily had requested, as per an idea thought of by Candice herself. She was keeping true on her word, as she warned the Stefan, Damon and their friends what would happen if they hurt a member of her family.
"Rise and shine." Candice smirked, as Caroline began to awkaen in the chair they had sat her in.
The blonde moaned and groaned, blinking as she took in her surroundings. It didn't take long to realize where she was, as she recognized the bleak conditions of the Salvatore basement. On his knees in front of her, was Enzo, his hands covered in thick gloves as he dipped ropes into a bucket of vervain water. Once they were dripping in the harmful water, he tightly tied them around Caroline's wrists and ankles, making her yet out a screech of pain as he binded her to the chair.
"Sorry, love." He apologized, barely meeting her eye. "This will only hurt for a second."
Caroline groaned in pain, squeezing her eyes shut as he wrapped a rope around her wrist. "What the hell is wrong with you?"
"What's wrong with him?" Candice repeated, her arms crossed over her chest, leaning in the doorway of the cell. "Enzo probably has no issue with you. Lily, however, wants revenge. One of you killed Malcolm last night."
"Strange." The Forbes vampire muttered, looking between them. "Neither of you look like Lily."
"Oh, did I say just Lily?" The Evans girl asked, shaking her head. "I'm sorry, I meant all fo us. We had a deal and it was broken."
"Look, be happy I'm the one that grabbed you." Enzo sighed, looking directly at Caroline. "I don't want to think what would happen if the others did. I am the closest thing you have to a friend in here."
Candice narrowed her eyes at him. According to Lily, taking Caroline had pledged Enzo's loyalty to them, yet she knew it was hard to completely stop caring about someone. Candice, while she had been mad at Amelia when she was first released, couldn't help but feel sad when she was suffering from the werewolf bite. Seeing Caroline Forbes, someone he'd considered a friend for a decent amount of time being tortured, probably wasn't easy for him to witness.
Or easy for him to partake in.
"Yes, be grateful." Candice warned her, wearing a dark look. "As we have established, I'm not my sister. I would of been more then happy then to gag you with those ropes." She told her, being brutally honest with the blonde.
"Acting like one of them won't make Stefan give up on you." Caroline told her, as Candice turned to make her way back upstairs. She froze in her tracks, keeping her back to the groaning prisoner. "It won't make any of us give up on you. You may not be Amelia, but you're her sister, and in some ways you are like her. And she would never forgive us if we let you fall on the wrong path."
Candice said nothing in reply, and continued on her way upstairs. As she entered the living room, it wasn't long till Caroline was upstairs also, speeding toward the door. Smirking, Candice turned to watch, as Nora and Mary Louise blocked the girl from leaving.
"Leaving so soon?" Mary Louise asked her, tilting her head to the side as she blocked the front door.
With a small grimace, Caroline turned to speed the other direction, only to be met by Nora. "I'm wearing your jacket." She told her, pulling at the denim covering her top half. "Though, it's a little large on me."
