"This is new low. Even for you."
Candice was confused. Well, it was more than confusion at this point, it was also anger. After leaving Damon last night, Candice had made her way back to the boarding house, and had hid away in her room for the rest of the night. The next morning, she woke to her head hitting off a glass window, with the ground below her shaking.
It turns out, she was laid in the passenger seat of a car, with Valerie in the dirvers seat. She had no idea why the dirty blonde woman had taken her from the house, but she was far then pleased about the situation. Apparently, it was so she could finally learn the truth about Julian, whatever that may be. All her protests were going ingored, as Valerie tried to navigate the map on Oscar's phone, and talk to Enzo on her own at the same time.
"It's going to be your driving that kills me." Candice stated, gripping onto the dashboard best she could. "Not a vampire or anything like that. No, it will be your driving."
Her words went ingored, as Enzo's voice spoke through the phone. "Where are you?"
"Headed out to find Julian, and trying to find the direction on Oscar's stupid phone." She grumbled in reponse, growing frustrated. "Why doesn't anyone use real maps anymore? What's wrong with paper?"
"Well, I suggest you get a move on, because Lily and company are right behind you."
"What?" Valerie said in disbelief. "That's impossible. I took Candice's phone, she can't of said anything. You promised to keep Oscar quiet."
"Oh, well, good." Candice nodded, an annoyed look on her face. "I can't call for help. Fantastic."
"Oh, Oscar? He doesn't remember squat." Enzo replied defensively. "They must of tracked Julian down on their own with a locator spell or some other Heretic malarkey. Never underestimate Lily's relentless devotion to getting what she wants."
Instead of replying, Valerie grabs the phone and looks at frustrated, making Candice raise a brow at her. "Wait. What does it mean when the little bar thing goes all red? I-" If it wasn't for what happened next, Candice probably would of laughed at how clueless she was.
As she throws the phone onto the backseat, both girls eyes widen and scream as they see a car blocking the road, Valerie quickly slamming her foot down on the break. The car screeches to a halt, Candice gripping onto her chair for dear life, as Valerie closes her eyes and takes a deep breathe.
"No seat belt?" The appalled voice of Damon comments, making them both look to see him stood there, leaning against the car that is blocking the road. "That's a hefty fine, ladies."
Candice wasted no time, opening the door and jumping out as quickly as she could, slamming the door closed behind her. She narrowed her eyes on Damon. "You could of just killed us, but I don't think I'll ever be this happy to see you."
Valerie rolled her eyes, rolling down the window and poking her head out. "How did you..."
"You two did realize that by taking a Deputy's SUV that every move you made would be tracked, right?" He asked, as she got out and stalked toward him, looking far from amused.
"Would you kindly move your car?" She asked, a demanding tone to her voice.
The Evans girl quickly shook her head. "Please, Damon, leave it where it is."
"That car?" He asked, faking confusion as he jabbed his thum toward it. "You bet I'll move that car. But first, I need to ask you why you killed your faux-brother Oscar and framed me for the murder."
"You what?" Candice screeched.
But the Heretic played dumb instantly. "I have no idea what you are talking about."
