TWO || what you know
Due to this being the first time she had ever had the opportunity to compete in the Olympics, Luna was nervous to go downstairs.
Hedwig was full of excitement and energy. She was excited to see fellow athletes that she hadn't seen since the last Winter Olympics. She was so excited that she failed to see how uncomfortable the younger girl felt.
Hedwig Hellend had always been known as an outgoing and adventurous person. No matter what was thrown her way, she took it in stride. Whether it be meeting someone new or traveling to a foreign country, she could deal with it without stumbling. That was the prime reason why Luna and her got along as well as they did.
Every single time she was with Hedwig, she was shoved out of her comfort zone.
Today was no different.
Luna wasn't exactly nervous about meeting new people. She was just afraid that she would embarrass herself.
The two girls threaded in between the multiple tables that filled the dining area of the hotel, but Hedwig automatically stopped in her tracks when Luna clutched onto her arm, forcing her to stop.
"Oh my god," Luna said, her eyes widening.
Hedwig looked at her with puzzlement on her face. "What? What are you looking at?"
The blonde girl nodded her head in the direction of a brown-haired girl. "It's Izzy."
Hedwig's eyes darted back and forth between the two Norwegian girls, surprise in her features. "How did she even make it to the Olympics? The last time I saw her skate, she sucked."
"She was barely fourteen when you saw her last," Luna retorted, her anxiety spiking. "She's like really good now."
Almost as if the younger girl knew she was being discussed, she turned her head in the direction of the two girls. Before Izzy could comprehend who was looking at, Luna grabbed Hedwig's arm shoving her toward one of the tables.
"She's looking over here. Get under the table now!" Luna got on her hands and knees, pulling the back the tablecloth and seeking solstice under the small round surface. "Come on! Hurry up!"
Hedwig appeared beside in a mess of arms and legs and a hiss left her lips as she happened to hit her leg against one of the wooden chairs. "Ow, fuck!"
"Hush!" Luna told her, half tempted to place a hand over her best friend's mouth.
"I wasn't even being loud!" The red head protested.
