I looked at myself in the mirror as I fixed my outfit for today.
"They are going to love you." I heard turning around I seen Seth with bed hair. He smiled leaning against the island.
"You're only saying that because you love me." He grinned as I hugged his waist. He was so warm. He kept the house warm.
"So.....if they don't like you then they are missing out on the best thing that ever walked in their lives." He was so sweet. If we ever decide to have children hopefully they take his personality. I looked at the window as Seth did the same. The thing about us, is that we have good hearing, but my vision matches Jared's.
"Leah?" Letting me go he walked to get his shoes.
"I'll be back." He kissed my forehead opening the door walking out. I jumped on the island pulling my hair behind my ear trying to be a little nosey. I looked down at my hands playing with the ice as I was listening.
"what are you doing here?" Seth asked his older sister she frowned looking at Teddy's house then at him.
"Mom wants me to check on you, and see if you want to come with us the day after tomorrow."
"Where?"
"Charlie and his team are having a banquet and I'm here to see if you want to come. Embry is tagging along so if you want Teddy can come as well." He smiled as she said her name. Leah rolled her eyes seeing how gullible her little brother gets when someone mentions his new imprintee. I got off the island top looking over at the time.
"Six hours till showtime." I stopped listening to them as they spoke and went to the window. I sat inside the window reading my book.
"Teddy?" Seth called through the house. He walked through the kitchen and no sign of her. He walked to the bedroom and no sign of her. Listening around he heard her turn the page of a book. He jogged over seeing his girlfriend focused in her book.
"Boo!" He yelled making her jump.
"Jerk." She said looking up at him. He laughed while picking her up as she never let the book go.
"What are you reading?" He asked looking at the red book.
"Well since I already know how to paralyze people I got this book on how to paralyze people in places I never knew I could paralyze them in." She said happily. Seth looked down at the book frowning.
"What language is that?" She smiled forgetting only certain people can read the book. She's not surprised. The Cullen's can't even read it.
"It's Egyptian writing." She said looking at the symbols that's was spread out to a sentence.
"How'd you learn this?" She looked at him thinking about it.
"It kind of came to me. It's like a second language."
"Usually a second language is spanish, or English."
"Welp not for me." He leaned back on his hands.
"Which makes you more extraordinary." Teddy smiled making her dimples pop out. She covered her mouth making Seth get upset.
"Hey, stop covering that pretty smile. I want to see it." He said moving her hand from her mouth. She groaned.
"Seth I wanna read this, but you're distracting me." He raised a eyebrow.
"How am I? Distracting you?" He grinned making her say it.
"You know. Asking me questions and stuff, making me sit in your lap. Taunting me." Her cheeks heated up as she looked at her book.
"I am not."
"Are too."
"Am not."
"Are too." She said holding her book up against her chest as she closed her eyes.
"I can do this all day. Am not."
"Seth! Yes you are." She giggled.
"Here I'll help you get up and continue what you were doing." She looked back at him it went silent till she felt the bottom of the seat that was in the window vibrate.
"Eeewwwwww!" She said quickly covering her nose, using her speed to go to her room. Seth laughed as he started fanning the area.
"Nasty!" She yelled. He held his stomach as he laughed. She shook her head laying on her bed. Soon his laughs died down.
"Teddilyn." He said. She covered her ears with her palms trying to cover her actual name.
"Lalalala. I can't hear you." She said he smiled.
"Why don't you like your real name. It's cute." She scrunched up her nose as he laid down in front of her.
"It's so formal and princess like. I prefer Teddy it's chill and normal." She went back to reading.
"Come with me in two days to this banquet." Seth said looking at Teddy as she pulled her hair behind her ears.
"Nah, but i'll go with Embry."
"You heard?"
"Just a little." She giggled looking down at her book.
"I'm serious by the way. You need to spend more time with her."
"I have my whole life. Now it's your turn." She chuckled biting her top lip.
"Please. Just go with her. I don't know if you noticed but she looked like she needed you." He scuffed.
"She always look like that." Teddy glared at him.
"No seriously. Us girls knows what we want. Call it a super power but it's true." She said turning the page of her book. Seth bit his fingertips.
"Fine, but save me a dance."
"No promises."
****************
"So my mom and dad may ask you a lot of questions but it's fine. Oh who am I kidding it's not fine.".
"It's fine Brey." She seemed stressed over a little dinner. Walking around the corner I seen her mom and dad talking to one another.
"Um. mom....dad. This is Teddy." They smiled. Her mom walked up to me as the father got up.
"It's very nice to meet one of Audrey's friends." She said hugging me. I hugged her back giggling.
"You're so beautiful, and full of giggles." She said looking at me.
"Thank you." A tall skinny man with a lot of facial hair smiled down at me.
"Kevin, Kevin Santos." I shook his hand.
"Dinner will be ready in five." Audrey nodded looking at her parents in a suspicious way. She really was nervous about this. More than I was. We walked up the stairs into her room. She had posters everywhere of some guys.
"Who's that?" She gasped opening her curtains.
"That's only the best boy group ever!" I frowned not knowing who they were.
"One Direction." I shook my head.
"Oh my gosh, you have so much to learn." She said plopping on her bed.
