As Anthony heard Melanie speaking to him, he pulled his head up, turning slightly pale as he noticed who was standing next to her.  Shit.  He thought as he noticed Brian spotting him.  He took a deep breath.  "Mel.  I.."  But before he could explain, Brian chose to step in catching Melanie off guard at her dad's sudden anger.  "What..  The hell are you doing here?"  He hissed repeating Melanie's question she was thinking in her head.  Anthony stood up his attention now on Melanie's father instead of Melanie.  He cleared his throat suddenly more nervous than he already was.  When he had met Melanie, and had chosen to come here, he had no idea who Melanie's parents were, until he had made the mistake of coming to the house and seeing Jennifer answering the door.  They already hated him for what he had done to Brian in the past, now they were going to hate him even more.  There was no redeeming himself with this family.  I'm screwed.  Anthony thought.

Melanie watched the two of them closely narrowing her eyes at her father's words.  Anthony had remained quiet since her father walked through the door.  "Wait..  Do..  Do you two know each other?'  She asked suddenly a bit shocked.  She glanced over between the two of them noticing her father's glare on the other man.  "I will take that as a yes."  She said after neither of them had answered.  Anthony looked a bit hesitant before explaining.  "I'm..  With your daughter."  Anthony stated.  He didn't mean to blurt it out just like that, but he was nervous after he realized whose house he was at.  Anthony had meant to come and speak to Melanie hoping she'd allow him an explanation.  Brian shook his head quickly.  "Uh uh.  There is no way in hell!"  He growled.  Melanie could only watch the two of them in shock.  "Will someone please tell me what is going on here!"  She yelled in order for to be heard.  It was like she was a ghost to the two of them now.  "Why are you here?  How did you find me?"  She asked her attention now on Anthony.  She wanted answers, and she wanted them now.

Anthony glanced at Melanie not sure if he was able to speak at the moment so he stayed quiet.  He took a deep breath, ready to finally speak after a few minutes when he heard Brian start to talk.  "Did you want to tell her how we know each other?  Or should I?  I am sure that my version of the story is very different from yours."  Brian stated in a cold tone.  "Your father and I..  We used to work together a few years or so ago."  Anthony started speaking slowly to let things register for Melanie first.

Melanie turned pale hearing his words.  Anthony knew my father?  She thought.  But he never mentioned it.  "I thought you had always wanted to go into training to become a detective.  Unless you lied to me about that too!"  Melanie hissed starting to get worked up again.  "Are you really an officer?  Or have you, Levi and Victoria been lying to me this whole time to make you look good?!"  Melanie wasn't quite sure what she should believe.  It seemed since they started seeing each other, her and Anthony had one big lie after another.  She was starting to feel anger again towards him.  He was keeping everything a secret from her.  Yet she shouldn't be too angry, as Melanie was doing the same to him.  But for now that was besides the point.  Melanie was certain that if Levi hadn't told her about his sister Greta, she still wouldn't know about her.  Anthony shook his head quickly.  "No!  Melanie, I didn't lie about my line of work.  I really am a detective.  I realized I wanted to be a police officer to help people after what happened with Greta.  Yes while that happened when we were in middle/high school.  I was still going to need a job to help out.  Remember I told you I had come to college here?  Well when I was living with my grandparents, once I was old enough to, I had applied for a factory job where I used to live to help out with things when I was in school.  When I left for college, I came here for school.  Like most kids, I got a job to help out to pay for rent and such.  I happened to end up working in a factory up here as well since I at least had experience.  The factory I applied to up here, happened to be the one that your father worked in.  When they hired me, he was asked to help me out, sort of be my supervisor to help show me the ropes to get me started."  Anthony explained quickly.
