My Shocked Mate

Chapter 8

Rhys's POV

Over the next few weeks plans fell into place, we managed to close down several compounds that were trafficking shifters. We managed to rescue Over 200 shifters which had even been taken or sold to Salvador.

We managed to capture several parties that had been involved in the organisation, including some politicians and a few public figures. The only person we did not find was Salvador which got me thinking maybe he had inside help.
The shifters that had been rescued had decided to join Moon Valley packs. A few of the shifters who were taken from their original packs decided to contact their families and they decided to move to Moon Valley as they agreed it would be safer for them and also that we offered a lot of support to people that are struggling. There were even a couple of dragons which were originally from France who asked if they could join our pack as the rest of their family had been slaughtered many years ago. They seemed to settle in well and even found their mates within the packs.

As for Darius and I, when we were not busy we spent time together getting to know each other. Though sometimes he comes across rude and innocuous he is actually a real pussy cat with a wicked sense of humour. The last couple of days I could smell the change in him almost like he was going in heat. We had spoken about it and decided when his heat was in full force we would fully mate as we have waited long enough.

Also this last few days Darius decided to finally move in with me as we both couldn't stand living separately anymore, even though he stayed with me majority of the time. Though we are currently living at the pack house I am actually in the process of having a house built for us to live which should be completed in a couple of weeks.

Anyway back to the present:

We are currently on the way back from his dad's house as he finally decided it was time to get to know his dad's mate especially since he was my brother.
They actually got on really well in the end and Darius seemed to take a shine to his new siblings which made me happy as I could see he actually likes children.

As we got back to our floor I could smell Darius's heat getting stronger.
We finally made it to our room I couldn't help but give Darius passionate kisses which lead us to about fifteen minutes worth of a full make out session.

Darius whispered in my ear "I am ready to continue with the mating ritual and fully mate with you."
I looked at him and replied saying "are you sure?" He repliedwith a nod and a "yes"
