My Shocked Mate

Chapter 5

This chapter is in Darius's point of view and will repeat something mention previously.

I took a deep and started to explain everything that had happened in New York. I explained that after my meeting with a potential clients we had met up with his associates at a bar which was filled with mainly shifters and only a few humans. I knew my client was a shifter so it didn't worry me. I explained as we were talking I started to smell something delicious I scanned the room and my eye locked with the most gorgeous man I have ever seen. I looked at my mate who had been holding me since we went to his meeting room and was currently nuzzling my hair. I explained how I felt at the time leaving out the fact I was so turned on and mesmerised by the colour of his eyes and his body. I explained I had decided to bite the bullet and was about to walk over to Rhys but I was grabbed by the arm and dragged outside by someone. I couldn't see their face to begin with then after a few minutes I saw his scar on one side of his face but no other facial features I explained how his voice made me on edge and the words he said pained me as not only did he tell me to stay away from my mate but he would kill everyone dear to me and he said he would kill my mates brother. At the time I didn't know who my mate was or even who is brother was. So after he left I gave my apologises to my clients and left that night.

I explained about the when we captured and that the man was there again and that is when I found out he was a hunter. When he got chance to speak to me he threatened me again telling me that I had to reject my mate or he would still kill my mates bother as he had already captured him in put him into another cell near where we were.

As I looked at Rhys I said to him "I didn't realise who your brother was until I met Reuben and realise he was defiantly related to my mate as he had the base sent of ash and lavender but you have also Vanilla and nutmeg mixed into your scent."

As I finished telling them what happened and why I had no choice to leave.

I could see Rhys thinking about what I had just been telling him at that point I lent up to him and whispered "I am here now sorry, I left" before kissing him on his neck.

After a quick break and getting us all a drink, We sat back down and
my mate started to tell me everything about the hunter and how he knew him. I explained that he still somehow contacts me to remind to stay a way that is why I had until now. I told them that Jameson has been helping me to train harder and told me it was time for me to come back. I explained that I didn't want to run away thought it would be the best thing to do but to be honest it made it worst as I have felt so bad since leaving and my panther has hardly spoken to me since I left.

Rhys wasn't very happy I was spending time with another Alpha I explained that he had been a friend to me and my brothers since we were kids and we had gone to school and did Alpha/Beta training together. Once Rhys was reassured I could feel him relax more.
