Up from the sky the little girl came
Shining like the sun, such a beautiful dame.
Maybe it wasn’t her body, or face or hair
But maybe the way she was kind and fair.
But alas in this world, that doesn’t matter
Because all she could hear was the constant chatter
She’ll never fit in, she’s what no boy wants
All people said were constant taunts.
And so the girl hated the earth
And she constantly pondered over her worth.
For why would the heavens give her away?
Barely able to survive another day.
And so she went as high as she could,
And looked to sky so maybe it would
Take back the constant pain
And take her back home again.
And so she looked up at the sky
And kissed the stars goodbye.
With the wind whipping her messy hair
Leaving with a smile, not a tear.
And back from the ground again she rose
Back to life she wish she chose.
Up, up, up and away
Never to see another day.
