Chapter 2: A Fresh New Start

The bus ride had gone decently smooth, with a few minor bumps. It was the first day of Spring, and you left nice and early in the morning, eager to get out of your dull life. The bus door creaked open, and it sped away after you stepped off. You could already tell, yes, the air was way cleaner. However, the smell of produce reeked as if it were manure. There was a dirt path that you took, assuming it was the way to your new home. Upon arriving in the central area of the valley, Pelican Town, you were met by the mayor, Lewis. He reminded you of Luigi (of Super Mario Bros.) in the sense of his appearance. He wore a green shirt with suspenders, had a very Luigi-ish mustache, and was around 6 feet tall as you eyeballed him. However, he sounded nothing like Luigi. "Ah, you're the new resident. (Y/N), is it? Well I'm the mayor here, but you can call me Lewis." After the "hellos" and "nice to meet you's," he lead you to your house. There you met another resident, Robyn. She had her red hair tied back into a standard ponytail, and wore a basic beige cardigan. She was adding some finishing touches to the outside of the house for when you arrived. After a grand tour of the one room house (that's right, no bathroom, you have to pee outside), they left with their goodbyes. You didn't want to mention this then, but the yard was a mess. Rather than being farmland, it seemed like a forest. Oh well, it was nothing you couldn't handle. Anything is better than Joja.

(This is short but sorry for not doing anything in a month, I lost motivation. I'm maybe back (no promises) and I forgot my headphones so I had an hour long bus ride with nothing to do, so I figured why not?)
