Clearing up the disaster named The Farm was no easy task. You decided that you shouldn't clean it all at once, and spending maybe an hour each day would be best. The mayor had told you that he recommends a local shop, Pierre's, rather than the Joja mart. Finding it was fairly easy, considering it was in the center of the town. Walking in, you saw several new faces, including what you presumed to be Pierre.
The store was small, but shelves were stocked full of crop seeds, food, ingredients, and other standard items you'd find in a shop. You didn't have much money, so you figured you'd start small. Parsnips we're fairly cheap, and maybe a little bit of cauliflower would suffice. Placing the seeds on the counter, the man you presumed to be Pierre gave you a grin. "You must be the new farmer," he exclaimed. "It's not everyday we get a new face here." His blonde hair was combed into a swoosh, and he wore a brown coat. Besides that, the rest was blocked by the counter. He reminded you a lot of Chadtronic. You nodded, "Yeah, I just got settled in. I was recommended to go here by the mayor." His welcoming grin faded into a cocky grin. "Of course he did. We're the best store around. Our seeds are higher quality than the ones at Joja, and we offer better items for a cheaper price. It's no wonder I always get voted the best grange display at the Stardew Valley Fair."
Somewhere while he was gloating, the glass doors opened and sounded the bell. A short and stubby man, looked to be in is forties, strolled towards the middle of the store. His sinister eyes were covered by his round glasses. He wore a black button-up and a red bow tie. After clearing his voice, he began to speak. "Attention all shoppers: Joja Mart is currently having a huge sale! 40% off of all items. Come now before it ends!" He walked out, right after he shot Pierre a sinister grin. Several shoppers in the store left without buying anything. Any trace of a grin had left Pierre's face. "And there goes my customers. That Morris thinks he's so smug. Well at least I provide my customers with quality items. But I can't drop my prices like that. We're a family business, so we need all the money we can get."
Reassuring him, you headed out and decided maybe you should check out the Joja Mart. It couldn't be that bad, after all. Standing out front, you could see they definitely had a theme. Blue. The automatic doors slid open, revealing possibly the gloomiest sight you had seen. There was no music or talking. Workers didn't acknowledge each other or the customers. And off to the right stood Morris. He tried coaxing you into buying a membership, but you couldn't even afford it. You sifted through the aisles, and they definitely had a lot. Frozen dinners, soft drinks, you name it. In the last aisle you checked, you noticed an employee struggling to stock items on the top shelf. He had black hair that almost had a hint of purple, and like the shop, wore blue (not that it was his choice). His face seemed to be in a permanent state of anger and agony. After watching him try to place fruit snacks on the shelf and drop the box several times, you decided to help him. Rather than thanking you, his face changed into an even angrier sort, and he got mad. "Don't you have a job of your own?" He was infuriated. "If you don't mind, I don't appreciate people mocking my height!"
Well that was a bust. You didn't even think to introduce yourself. Than again, he also failed to do that. It didn't offend you too much. He probably had something going on, whatever his name was. By the time you got back from town, two hours had somehow passed. You planted your crops and decided you should go to bed early if you wanted to be well rested by 6:00am. Everything was now pitch black with the lights off, and you drifted off into a deep slumber.
