Of course Scarlett would be calling me at this time of the day, I said to myself. I pressed the "answer" button. Why she calling me so damn early for.

"What do you want?" I groaned.

"If I didn't call you, you'd still be asleep even when it's almost 1 already." I heard her say.

I kept silent because she wasn't lying, if she didn't call me I'd still be asleep to be honest. I cleared my throat and finally spoke up.

"So uh.. why did you call?" I said awkwardly. You see, Scarlett rarely calls me. She mostly sends me texts, but the last time she called me it was because it was serious.

"I just was wondering if you wanted to hang out."

"Hang out? Why couldn't you just text me that?" I laughed away the built up worried I had. Turns out not every time she calls is serious. "Okay let me just go pick up violet"

"No, just us two." She instantly cut me off right after. Hm. That's weird. Usually the three of us hang out together. Did they get in a fight or something?

"Hello? You still there?"

"Ah- yes. Okay let's hang out in the afternoon."

The call ended there. Something must've happened between those two if Scarlett doesn't want me to bring along violet.

Speaking of violet, I need to check up on her. Hopefully she did some grocery shopping, because I have an appetite today.
