I've never been a fan of rain
Well thunder storms actually
They have always sent me
Shaking into a corner of the room
Hiding underneath sheets of darkness
While the water splattered the earth
And the thunder shook the skies above
But tonight
As I sat under sheets of black
And books with
Poems of pain and love
Piled up beside me
The drops of ran
That hit like rocks on my roof
Calmed me
And the skies shaking above
And the light striking the ground
Gave me a sense of clarity
Because just like me
The earth was falling apart
So it could rise in the morning
and shine again
-a.n.s // just like me
