// THIRD PERSON POV \\

Kimbriella was seated at the base of her bed with Nathan, holding up her artwork and telling him a little about each piece. He was so fascinated with her skills at drawing and painting, and wished he shared the same talent.

He asked her many questions to get to know her better, and wondered about her life here. He found she was home-schooled, and really had no friends. He felt so sorry, but was happy she chose to spend her time with him.

It was then when something seemed to catch Kimbriella's eye, and the blood drains quickly from her face.

"You alright?" Nathan asks her, watching her glazed eyes lock at a certain spot in her bedroom. She didn't answer, she only sat parazlyzed in what looked like cold, bitter fear. "Kim?"

"Y-Yeah..." she manages to say. "I.... I'm fine, I just... Let's go downstairs," Her cold hand wraps around his forearm in an attempt to drag him back downstairs, to get away from what she was seeing.

It was a woman, wearing a long, torn gown and old work boots. Her hands were bloody, with the skin and nails missing from the tips of her fingers. Blood was dripping onto the floor, each drip playing loudly in her ears; making her head reel.

"What's wrong?" Nathan presses, stopping in the doorway to try and figure out what was the matter.

"Nathan, I'm fine, we just really need to go." She tries to yank him out of her room again as she watches the woman get closer.

"Kim-"

"Nathan, please!" she begs, pulling and tugging him to get away from her room. She knew she had to go find her mother so she could help her overcome her hallucination, because she didn't want to scare him off. But right now it wasn't seeming to work so well.

"Kimbriella," the woman whispers, reaching out a mangled, torn hand. Kim holds back a scream and lets go of Nathan, and falls backwards in fear.

"Kim, what is wrong?" he asks her, crouching lower to her and grasping her cold hand.

The woman comes closer, and extends her arms over Nathan to grab him, and that's when Kimbriella cracked.

She let's out a mortified scream that pierces Nathan's ears, and grabs the attention of her parents.

"Kim?!" her mother yells, rushing up the stairs to find her.

Kimbriella watches as the bone-exposed hand seems to disintegrate into the air, making the woman disappear in seconds.

Adelaide grabs her daughter up just as Collin rushes in to see.

"What happened?" He asks as he sees his ghostly pale daughter having a spell on the floor.

"I think she's just seeing things again," Adelaide says in a hushed tone, trying to comfort Kim.

"Seeing things?" Nathan wonders aloud.

"Yes, she-"

"Mom," Kimbriella stops her, standing to her feet and pushing them away. "I'm fine. I need some air,"

She walks past them all and heads downstairs onto the from porch, taking a seat on a rocking chair to relax. Nathan comes outside and takes a seat beside her.

"Are you okay?" He asks her.

She looks up to see his face covered in worry and concern. She could tell he genuinely felt bad for what happened, and wanted an answer to all of it. As much as she wanted to forget, she knew she couldn't keep going on like nothing had happened. It was one of the worst hallucinations she had had in a while.
