// HALLOWELL'S POV \\
Dr. Rolfe's old eyes scan the papers slowly, carefully. He was finally on the last page of my research and all I have done while waiting for him to finish was thinking of the patient.
She was strong -- the strongest I've ever witnessed. What she can do is completely oblivious to her and the world around her, but I've found it.
When I was young, I had similar symptoms as she has, only not as prominent as hers. Then later I was taken to a psychiatrist who just so happens to be Dr. Rolfe, and who also shares the ability that the girl and I both inhabit.
I'm a Medium: a person who is able to see, hear, smell, and touch the spirits of the deceased. After all the years of thinking I was insane or schizophrenic, I've had the power to communicate with the dead, and see what they were wanting me to see. And there's no doubt in my mind that that's exactly what she's experiencing herself.
Kimbriella Finestone, a sixteen year old girl with the strongest senses of paranormal abilities I've ever heard about. She's been my patient since she was six, but little did her parents know that I can also depict whether or not something else is there, other than simple mental disabilities.
Kimbriella is more than a Medium, I was for sure on that note. But there was more, and that's why I've taken a visit to see Dr. Rolfe so I can find out what else is lying beneath the cover of the pretentious layer.
"Precognition," Dr. Rolfe's old voice rasps. "It's here you mentioned several occasions of foreknowledge by Kimbriella; statements of her knowing when someone will die or how they've died, different assortments of visions. Precognition is usually known as a paranormal foreknowledge, you know that,"
I nod, taking a drink of the stale water Dr. Rolfe has given me.
"Now, you also say that she sees the dead, talks to them, hears them, and can easily interact with them, even though she does so without wanting it or trying. You say she tries to fight it, yes?"
I nod my head again, "Yes, she tries to 'wake herself up' by telling herself that it isn't real. She doesn't summon them, or anything like that."
"That makes them stronger," he tells me. I close my eyes for a moment.
"I know,"
Rolfe sets the papers aside and closes his study book while taking his reading glasses from the perch of his nose. His wrinkled hands fold over the book as his gray eyes look forward to me.
"You've gathered quite a bit of research from the home she lives in, seeing as there were over eight murders in that house. And since there have been so many entities trapped inside, it's drawing more in from all over. It's a hot-spot, especially since there is a weak-minded victim held in there. You've mentioned possession already, and it's only going to continue to rot. Now they know how much energy it takes to get inside of her body, and they begin to feed off of others to gain that energy,"
The air around me cools, sending chills across my skin. I felt watched, and pressured. Even now I could feel the presence of a spirit close by, and I shake it off the best I could so Dr. Rolfe couldn't sense my fear.
"Kimbriella Finestone is a Precognitive Medium, a strong one at that. You need to inform her and her family as soon as possible so you can use her ability to your advantage. Because Laura," he gives me a hard look and sends shivers down my spine. "I can sense there are much darker, sinister beings in that household -- demons, I feel them. You need to get that girl help before she's attacked. Remember, as long as she is not marked, the fight is already won."
