Illuminous || Luke Hemmings

Chapter 3

We finally pulled up to where Luke was taking me, DISNEYLAND.

"Oh my god Luke, I can't believe you. Disneyland really?" I run over to him and jump into his arms giving him a hug while he picks me up.

"Yeah, I knew you would love it let's go." He grabs my hand and we walk into Disneyland after they check us for our tickets.

"I love you so so so much you know that Luke? I honestly can't believe you." I was still in shock. I haven't been here since I was a little kid.

"I know I know I'm just so lovable. I have been planning this for a whole since I knew you loved this place as a kid" Luke was smiling at me and I stare at things intensely. I start tearing up because I have talked all time about wanting to go back and Luke took me.

"Aren't you happy to be here Kay?" My teary eyes stare at him, I have no words.

"Luke, I love you more than anything in the whole world and I don't deserve you as a bestfriend, I wish I was someone you deserved because honestly you deserve more than me..." I was still crying from happiness.

"Shhh shh, you are the most amazing girl in the world and I'm so grateful for you to be in my life. I love you." Luke pulls me into a hug and rubs my back until I stop crying. I wipe my eyes and look at him, his perfect blue eyes.

"Let's go ride some rides!" We start going to Tower of Terror, which don't want to go on but Luke forces me.

"Kay, come on I'll hold your hand, I'll be there right next to you." He gives me a gently smile and tries to calm me down when he sees the fear in my eyes.

"Okay." I didn't think this through but there is no going back now.

"Really? Okay?" Luke is surprised at me response, I can tell by the tone of his voice.

"Yes, I'm not chickening out. But since you know me so well Luke would you like to tell me my two biggest fears?"

"Umm... Yeah elevators and heights." He says it in a very careful tone and grabs my hand.

"Yeah thanks, since you know best friends make eachother face the fears." I give him a sarcastic look and smile.

"That's what I'm for right?" We got into the seats and start to go to every level. I squeeze my eyes shut and tighten my grip on Luke's hand.

"LUKE I'M GOING TO DIE." I scream in a blood curdling voice as the top opens up so we can see past the whole park. It shuts.

"OH MY LUKE." It's drops down and shoots back up and goes up and down for which seemed like forever. When it's over I climb out and reach for Luke and start hugging him and tearing up.

"Kay, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have made you go on it." He looks at me worriedly and holds me close to him.

"No, no it's okay you made me face my fears it's okay." I try to calm down and stop crying. Luke stares into my eyes with his fearful eyes.

"Luke I'm serious, I'm fine." I had a stern tone because I was okay and I was just scared. Luke scoops my hand up and smiles at me while we walk.

"I want to go on California screamin!" Roller coasters are one of my favorite things in the world. I love the adrenaline you get going up the ride and speeding down.

"Then let's go." Luke runs with me to the line while gripping my hand. As soon as we got on Luke tightened his grip and the ride started.

"Oh my gosh, Luke don't get the photo I look horrible." Luke wanted to get the picture they took on the ride even though my hair was all over the place.

"Kay, we need to have pictures for memories when we are old and living in a retirement home." I wouldn't like to live in one, but I let Luke get the picture.

"Let's get paradise peer ice cream." Luke always knew what I wanted. Food.

"Yes! I have been craving ice cream since we got here" it was getting dark and we went to go eat already.

"Small swirled ice cream in a cone please." Luke and I decided to share one even though I ate most of it.

"Kay can we please go on the Ferris wheel! Please I know your afraid of.." Luke was stuttering to find his words since what happened this morning.

"Luke, look at me, yes I will go on the Ferris wheel. Let's just forget about this morning because you didn't do anything wrong." He looks back up into my eyes and smiles.

When we got on to the Ferris wheel i cram as close as I can to Luke even though we had the whole thing to ourselves.

"Sorry I just feel safer when I'm closer to you." Scooting a little whole saying that. Luke grabs my shoulder and eases me back into the crook of his shoulder and I lay there.

"Kay, I love you."

"I love you too, Luke"

I glance at him and a second later his lips are pushed up against mine as my hands move up his back. That kiss was infinite.
