I love you, Miki.(An Akira x Miki fanfic)

Chapter One

"Miki! I'm coming to save you!" Akira screamed frantically.
The world had been slowly being taken over by demons, lead by Akira's 'friend' Ryo Asuka. In fact, Ryo had betrayed Akira, more than once. Ryo had been the one to start all of this; turning Akira into a Devilman. But, with his new powers, he felt as if he could stop this madness. "Miki!" Akira screamed into the night sky. "I've realized just why I still have a human heart- I- It's you! I love you, Miki!"

Miki was a kind, courageous young lady. She was amazing at track, and always made sure her friends were happy. Her short brown hair fluttered in the wind as she turned around, trying to escape a crazed man. "A-Akira- the baton-" Akira flew down and grabbed her quickly. "Akira- you- saved me.." Miki hugged Akira carefully. She shed a tear. "I'm so happy you're alive, Akira. I was so worried." Akira gave her a small smile.

The two had made it home, just in time. Some farmers were about to BURN Miki's house!

"Stop it! What's wrong with you people!? Have you lost your mind-"

A farmer interrupted Akira's screaming, "HA! Says the so called 'Devilman'!" The fire started on Miki's home. She started sobbing. Akira was filled with rage. He flew up higher, and further into the forest. "Miki. I can only hold up for a bit longer...I'm taking you somewhere safe.."

"But, Akira! You'll be hurt-"

Akira shook his head, flying a bit faster now. The two finally landed near a shelter. It was a few miles away from the crazed town. "Miki. Don't leave. It's safe here. I'll take care of everything, okay..?" He set her down, hugging her tightly. "Miki, I love you.." he barely whispers.

"I love you too, Akira.." Miki smiles, blushing and lightly hugging back. "Please be safe out there..please.." Akira kisses Miki's cheek, "I will."

He flew off yet again, leaving Miki at the shelter. There was around 50 people inside.

They all opened their arms kindly toward Miki. "Welcome."
