It the day of the final track meet of the year.
Miki was getting ready for the meet. And...Today, she'd finally tell Akira how she really felt.
She checked the near by clock- 2:30.
"Perfect. Just in time."
The brunette run down the stairs and to the high school.
Akira was sitting in the bleachers, waiting for Miki's turn. He noticed her entering the school gate after what felt like forever.
"And up for the final race of the year," the announcer spoke, "Miki Makimura!"
Akira beamed, yelling, "Woohooo! You got this!"
Miki couldn't see Akira, but she waved to the crowd.
The race finally started. Miki sprinted faster than she ever had. She had almost lost, but won the race by 00.5 seconds.
Her friends and family all surrounded her; Akira slowly approaching.
"Miki, you did great."
"Well, it's thanks to your support, silly.." she smiles. The family went off to the car, "we'll celebrate with ice cream later!"
Akira looks at Miki's beautiful hazel eyes. "Miki...I love you.." he whispers.
"I love you, too, Akira Fudo." Miki kisses Akira's soft lips.
They both smile. What an amazing day...
