I love you, Miki.(An Akira x Miki fanfic)

Chapter Two

"Thank you all..so, so much.." Miki spoke softly to everyone in the room. They had all worked hard and gathered bits and pieces of food, making soup.

A young man smiled back to Miki, setting her bowl of soup down. Everyone smiled at one another, eating their soup. "It's not a problem, young lady," an older man spoke with kindness in his voice, "We're all in this together..!"

Later that night, Miki snuck outside and onto the roof. Miki stares into the night sky, as a star flew by. She whispers to herself, "I wish- I Hope- everything will go back to normal..if only this was some sort of-"

A loud THUD interrupted her. She nearly screamed, standing up. There was Akira. "M-Miki..." he had just turned back into his human form. Miki blinked, "AKIRA!" She examines him quickly "Y-you're bleeding!" "Miki, I'll be fine;" Akira said weakly. Miki shook her head. She carefully picked him up. "Ouch-"
"What happened..?"
"Ryo and I got into a fight..but..no worries.. the police got him..."

The two carefully went back down and Miki helped Akira into the shelter. Nearly everyone, besides three or people remained inside. "We need bandages!" Miki begged. The older man from earlier ran over to her, helping Akira bandage up. Akira smiled gratefully as the man set Akira into a bed. "Miki said there was at least 40 people in here..where is everyone?"

"The man responsible for this- Ryo Asuka- has been arrested. People felt safe enough to leave, besides a few of us.."

"I was only gone for a few minute-"

"No, you fell asleep out there. It's been thirty minutes or so. People are quick. Next time, let someone here know you'll be on the roof, okay? There's still demons out there and we don't want you getting hurt.."

Akira nodded. "Miki, please don't do that again.."

"O-okay. I'm sorry, Sir.. I'm sorry, Akira."

Akira shook his head, as the old man left to go outside. "I just want you to be safe Miki. I-" Akira's face reddened as he spoke, "After all, Miki. I do love you."'
