Lances POV
I groan, my head is all fuzzy and my ears are ringing. I can't see, it's a blur of colours and bright lights. My head hurts. I want my klanmurull (I gave up I don't know how to spell but that's his tiny teddy bear) that Mama gave me. I go to sit up, but warm, furred hands stop me.
"No, go back to sleep. You can have your weird bear when Pidge is finished with the tests. You got hit bad, you need rest." I feel clawed fingers stroke through my hair, and I slowly fall back to sleep, whimpering with pain.
Keiths POV
Lance whimpers, slowly falling back to sleep. I sigh, and grab a vial of quintessence. I may as well practice for when I have to go back. Maybe I can convert it.
The doors open with a swoosh, and I jump, dropping the vial. Cursing, I vaporise the peices of glass with a wave of my hand. I feel a soft hand on my shoulder. I turn around to see Mirror, her blind eyes somehow staring straight into my soul. Her nose twitches when she smells the quintessence, and she frowns.
"What did you burn Kiethan."
"Erm.... Not quintessence. Definitely not quintessence." I wince at the use of my full name, I never hear it unless I'm in trouble from Haggar. She sighs.
"How is he? Has he woken up?"
"For a couple seconds. He seemed like he was in pain. Probably not used to raw quintessence pumping though his veins. I made him go back to sleep. Pidge had to go get something from Olkarion." I report, flopping down on the floor, dragging my sister with me. She lands with an undignified thump.
"The king wishes to see you. He's already talked with Shiro and Lotor, so he probably won't be too mad about the whole slaughter in his grand hall thing."
"So I probably havent just ruined any chance of alliance?"
"Hopefully not kitten, hopefully not."
"I miss Mama. And Kirin. Hell, I kinda miss quiznaking Haggar."
"Me too. But, we can see them soon. Well, one of them."
I walk out into the hallway, leaving Mirror with Lance. She may be blind, but damn she's a good doctor. I sigh, looking down at my still bloody and torn robes. I twist a peice of the fabric in my hands, and mutter a reputation spell. The black ceremonial robes are instantly back to normal, and my hood is once again over my furred head. I grab my white mask from my pocket, placing it on my face. I just hope King Alfor doesn't tell Father I disobeyed his orders.
"Prince Kiethan."
"King Alfor." I kneel, showing my respect for the elder man. Half heartedly I bow my head, my discomfort obvious.
"Rise. I wish to thank you. You saved my son and many others by eliminating that man." I sputter. I didn't expect him to thank me, I thought he would scold me for not acting properly. This man was so different from my father, his kind gaze was real and warm, not fake and cold.
"T-T-thank me sir? B-b-but what I did wasn't proper eqiutte! I acted unprecedented and on my accord!!"
"Of course, Why would I not? What is Zarkon teaching his children these days?! You're not a slave, you can act freely." He rose from his throne, yet another surprise for me, to look me straight in the eyes. "What Im getting at is, Prince Kiethan, is that I would like for you to stay for a while, teach and protect my children. I had thought they were safe, but I suppose I was wrong."
Hey guys, Cookie here. So this chapter was written for the same reason as my first ever chapter was. Im so fucking bored. I started it on the bus trip to my schools swimming carnival because I was stuck at the back of the bus and I needed a distraction or I would've thrown up on my friend, and right now I'm sitting on a towel, soaking wet and cold, despite the fact that it's twenty seven damn degrees. It sucks. But hey! This means more chapters! So, now you know the drill, constructive criticism, be nice pls. Kay baiiii!
