Mirrors POV
Have to find her.... Have to... Find... Her...
"Mirror? You good there?" Keiths voice calls me from my dream. "C'mon, get up. It's dinner time." I feel his strong arms pull me from a chair. I must have fallen asleep in my desk chair again.
"Hey Kitty?" I mumble, still half asleep. He grunts in reply. "Describe your prince for me again? Please?"
He sighs. "He's tall, like Shiro, but taller, but not as tall as Father. He's skinny, like Lotor, but less.... Lotor-y, I guess. He's got really soft hair, and it's the colour of the moon on a starless night. His eyes look like a thousand oceans swirling together in two, beautiful little orbs. Just below his eyes, are two little crescent markings. He's got smooth skin, the colour of caramel. He likes to wear blue, all Alteans do, but he wears more, if that makes sense. That good?"
"Very good, Kitty."
"Anyone else?  You know you just have to ask."
"Nah, it's fine. I just wanted to hear how you describe him again. You talk differently when you're thinking of him. You have more feeling. I mean, of course you do, he's your mate."
"What do you mean by mate? I mean, I know what  you mean, but-"
I laugh, he's rambling. "Soul mates Keith. Meant to be. Linked by a red string. Two hearts in one. You plus him equals happiness."
"Yeah, but are you sure? Like, have you made a mistake or something? I just can't see how I could be with someone so.... Perfect."
"Keith, of course Im sure. Have I ever been wrong? They don't call me the 'Love Psychic' for nothing honey."
No. No you've never been wrong."
"And I don't plan to start now. Why are you doubting me?"
"Fear."
"Fear? Why are you scared Keith?"
"I'm scared that I'll lose him."
"Like we lost...her?" His grip tightens on my arm. "Oh, Kitty, I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up."
"No.... It's fine. And, yeah, like Kirin. That I'll lose him like Kirin. Oh god, I'm so scared. I'm so quiznaking scared Mirror, I feel like I could burst."
"I know Keith, I know. But you won't lose him. Not like we lost her."
"Hey Mirror?" He slows to a stop, his voice going quiet. "Do you think he loves me? Like I love him?"
"Yeah. I really do."
"Promise?"
"Promise, Kitten."
Lances POV
I've zoned out. I'm gone. Not paying attention. Head in the clouds. I've tried listening to Fathers speeches, but they're just so boring. Politics are boring. I'm glad Alluras next in line, I'd actually die. I sigh and continue to pick at my food. This speech is taking the joy out of food, damnit. It's food. You should always enjoy food. At least that's what Hunk says, and if Hunk says it's true then it must be, hes the food master!
I hear a chair scrape against the floor, and I look up. Keith is pulling out a chair for his sister, but once she's seated, he looks lost. There aren't exactly many chairs available. Luckily for me, theres a free chair next to me. I grin and wave at him to come over.
"Hey Lance? Did you want something? Why are you waving me over?" He looks around, obviously confused.
"Nah, just wanted someone to talk to. Make this damn speech a little less boring." I pull out the chair beside me, and he (hesitantly) sits down. The rest of the dinner carries on pretty much eneventfully, until it's time to leave.
Keith gets up, probably to guide his sister back to her room and then train, but I'm having none of that. I grab his hand and pull him up the stairs to my room.
"Lance, wha- mmmf!" He let's out a muffled cry as I smash our lips together, closing the space between us.
Authors note!
Hello again! Two chapters in one day! Just trying to make up for missing a couple of days, I guess. This was really short, I'm sorry, but it was the chapter I had prepared. I dropped my pen down the side of my bus seat while I was writing this (on the bus again, making a habit of that apparently) and I couldn't reach it. I tried to get it with another pen, but I dropped that too. So I had no way of writing until we got back to school, and we were only twenty minutes into the two and a half hour drive. Plus, I had put my only other form of entertainment in my suitcase (underneath the bus) because I could take it mountain biking (we did that before we got on the bus) so I just kinda sat there for the entire time. Also guess what mountain I hiked up on Tuesday? Mount. Fucking. Kosiosko. What's that? I hear you non-aussies ask. Well, only the highest fucking mountain in Australia. And they made us hike up it at eight in the goddamn morning. What the fuck. I'm still physically and mentally dead, and it's Saturday. Kill meeeeeeee.
