Chapter 7

Haley's POV:

"Hey! You look great!" Kellin said as I got in his car. It's already Friday and I'm really excited to go to the fair! I remember going all the time as a kid and I honestly can't wait to get there.

"Thank you! You don't look to bad your self. " I replied. In all honesty, we were both dressed like we would if we were going to school, but the compliment was sweet.

"How far away is it exactly?" I asked as we pulled out of the apartment complex I live in.

"Just down the road. Less than 5 minutes away, probably." He replied, smiling at me.

As we pulled up to the fair grounds ,I could already smell the funnel cakes. I guess Kellin could, too, because his stomach growled. As we walked up to get wrist bands, I noticed one of my new friends, Lilly, standing beside some blonde and pink-haired girl with black leggings and a blue t-shirt.

"Hey, Kellin, that's one of my friends, Lilly. I'll be right back, I'm gonna go say hey." I told Kellin as I ran off to go say hello.

"LILLY!" I yelled as I got closer to her.

"Hey, Haley! Oh, this is Julianne." She replied and gave me a hug.

"Hi, Julianne! Nice to meet you." I said as I shook her hand.

"You, too." She said politely and smiled. Now that I have a better look at her, Julianne is really pretty, and she seems really nice.

"Well, who are you here with?" Asked Lilly.

"Kellin. Kellin Quinn. How about you?" I said acting like it was nothing, even though I was really happy, because Kellin is actually a great guy so far. We have been talking this whole week and he is really cool.

"My boyfriend, his brother and some of their friends. They are almost here, so we are gonna go meet them at the gate, but I hope to see you around. Maybe we can catch up later and ride some rides together." Lilly said as she hugged me bye. I said bye to Juliane and then walked back over to where Kellin was buying our wrist bands.

"Hey. What ride do you wanna ride first?" I asked with enthusiasm.

"Let's do the flip-a-loop. After that, we will just work our way around back to here, and by that point, we will have done them all!" He said. I could tell he was excited, too!

As we made our way to the first ride, I felt someone lace their fingers with mine. When I looked up, I saw kellin blushing. I just smiled at him and squeezed his hand.

About half way through the rides, I started to get really dizzy and sick feeling, so we decided just to play some of the little games at the booths that were set up.

"This is so much fun, Kellin! Thank you for bringing me. It means a lot to me that you asked me to come." I said as we were walking to find a new game to play.

"It's no problem. I love your company. It's been a lot of fun so far." He said and then grabbed my hand again.

"OH, MY GOD!" I screamed as we came to one booth.

"What is it?" Kellin asked looking worried and scared.

"If you win, they give you a bunny!" I said getting really excited, because I have always wanted one, and these were really cute, little ones.

"Okay, let's play then." Kellin said smiling.

I think this was our 5th try at this stupid game and I'm almost positive it was rigged. The point of the game was to get a ball in a small glass bowl that was floating in a small kiddy pool full of water. Easy as can be right? WRONG!

"Okay, this our last try." Kellin said as looked at me.

"Okay, keep your eye on the bowl." I said and gave him a quick smile. I held my breath as he threw the ball at the bowl.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner!" The booth owner announced.

"KELLIN! Oh, my god, you did it!" I screamed when I realized he had made it in.

"I guess I did." He said looking kinda shocked. He then looked at me and before I knew it, he had picked me up in a hug and was spinning me around. In a matter of seconds, our faces were inches apart and he started leaning in. Next thing I feel is his soft, warm lips on mine.

"Ehem. Sir, here is your bunny." The booth owner said handing Kellin a box and interrupting us from that little moment.
