Cheat Pt 1

CHAPTER 1

"Mum I'm home," I said as I approached the dead silent loungeroom.

There was no one, no furniture, no power, no anything. I grabbed my phone out of my school bag and checked it for messages or calls. I had none. Then something started scratching at the door. I opened it only to find Rex carrying his empty food bowl fitted tightly between his top and bottom sets of teeth. I got my phone again and dialed mum's number. It rang and then stopped.

"Hi this is Sandra. I am unable to answer the phone at the moment so could you please leave a messages after the beep and I will get back to you as soon as possible." Spoke the phone.

I was getting hungry so I decided I would go and grab something to eat. I opened the fridge to find a carton of milk, six slices of cheese and a container of butter. I didn't really like cheese but I guess its all I could really have. I searched around for some bread so I could have cheese on toast. There was only the end crusts left but I guess that would have to do. I put the bread in the toaster then to realise the power still wasn't working so I had to have cheese on bread. I couldn't find any plates because a lot of things had gone missing from the house. I walked upstairs and went in my room. There was no power and my phone only had 10% battery. It was 10:57pm. I thought maybe if I fell asleep everything would be different in the morning so I fell asleep.
